Anything that is against God's will, God's word (including the commandments) is sin, whether it's of faith or not.
Sinners don't have faith, but they can certainly sin. Believers have faith, but as you said, sometimes they can sin too.

I am not too clear how you equate something against God's will and the same time be of faith!
I don't know about you, but I have a lot of faith and none of that faith even remotely has anything to do with something against God.
God made a statement that a house divided can not stand....How can God give us each our own measure of faith, a faith that grows through his word and that same faith go against God's will?

There is no redemption in hell, and the suffering will not be pain-free for anyone who finds himself there. NOT ONE PASSAGE OF SCRIPTURE EVEN SLIGHTLY ALLUDES TO IT, and that you are declaring it, you have now contravened your own words:: "this is the most disturbing facet of Christianity today; churches, church members, and politicians take what what Jesus didn't say and fill in the blanks with ideas and assumptions that as time changes, so do the words of Jesus, so do God's words."

1) a word that has been reduced to mean less than its definition because of connotations on it that could be considered harsh or otherwise. Jesus didn't mince words, he told parables and spoke plainly.

2) the idea that salvation is earned or remains undecided in the eyes of God. At the end of revelation, Jesus says everyone must go on being themselves, essentially not change. The good go on doing good, the bad go on doing bad. It doesn't say that everyone needs to get out and do good works or preach the gospel, it just says go on doing what you do, holy, filthy, evil, and otherwise. It's the job of Jesus Christ to do those good works now because he is holy. I would like to point out though that revelation does say blessed is he that stays up and watches his clothes so he will not have to go around naked and others see his shame. This is before Jesus says to go on being holy and good so actually revelation is saying those that are awake and upright ready to defend their clothes or whatever they hold dear (your spiritual clothes) are blessed because, and Jesus makes this clear, he is coming soon.

I was not saying hell would be painless, but that people would be redeemed through their sufferings in hell and on earth. If everyone sins and sinners are destined for hell, then hell must be the truth of the old phrase trial by fire. People will suffer for all their sins committed on earth in hell with their sufferings on earth only serving as a way to lessen, or sometimes even further and increase punishment (if you curse god for your suffering rather than thanking him for your redemption by his grace). After suffering redemption or even before it is finished or even begins, God will give his decree of judgment; if ye should suffer for all eternity, an eternity in itself, at all, or simply for your sins and be redeemed. This is the point of the first death and resurrection. All those brought back to life lost their lives for their faith and were martyred by and for God. They will be judged according to their sins, their faith, and good works, done through them by the spirit and be redeemed. They will die a second death after judgment but it will have no power over them for they will be saved, they have been saved. Those that were not there at the first resurrection will be judged at the second with all souls. Some will be condemned for an eternity, some all eternity, and some not at all. It will be full of pain and despair and they will be truly sorry, but even then there will be some that do not feel bad and will not repent and will curse God. This is God's ultimate truth. I want nothing to do with you, therefore curse me and be condemned for all eternity. I will be all you have and you will curse me and I will not save you. You will exist therein ever changing and unrepentant. It will be endless and unfathomable, inconceivable and unyielding. Hell hath no man like heaven has soldiers, but heaven hath no end that hell should ever reach it. That is saying there is no man in hell like anyone in heaven and heaven does not end so hell can never reach it.

The lake of Fire is a real place and is not a type or shadow of ANYTHING, least of all having anything to do with "trial by fire".

There is no second death after Judgment. In fact the second death IS Judgment Day for all the wicked. NO ONE who experiences the first resurrection will have to endure Judgment AT ALL---ALL our sins have already been punished on Jesus Christ at the cross.
