I laid you down in the ocean of my mind
Let you feel the waves wash you off to nowhere
The darkened sun beating down upon your skin
Teaching myself to swim in order to reach you
The tides pull me under and Poseidon drags me down
Salt fills my lungs and I become breathless
The sky looks so beautiful from down here
I see you floating above me but you are just out of reach
You call my name but your voice is lost in the storm
Looking down upon me with the saddest eyes I've ever known
I try so hard to breathe but I am unable decompress
Tranquility feels so far away as I sink into the deep
I'm drowning myself but you won't let the life escape
You patiently await for my final breath to surface before pulling me to shore
