Every single person I know, who calls themselves a "Christian" claims to have the Holy Spirit inside them, leading them.

... and yet, there are so many denominations, so many theologies, so many doctrines... they cannot all possibly be correct.

1Cor 14:33 for God is not a God of confusion but of peace, as in all the churches of the saints.

Eph 4:2 with all humility and gentleness, with patience, showing tolerance for one another in love,
Eph 4:3 being diligent to preserve the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.

If God isn't the author of confusion, and He wants us to be in unity of the Spirit... why is there so much division?

Rom 1:28 And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper,
Rom 1:29 being filled with all unrighteousness, wickedness, greed, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,
Rom 1:30 slanderers, haters of God, insolent, arrogant, boastful, inventors of evil, disobedient to parents,
Rom 1:31 without understanding, untrustworthy, unloving, unmerciful;

Gal 5:19 Now the deeds of the flesh are evident, which are: immorality, impurity, sensuality,
Gal 5:20 idolatry, sorcery, enmities, strife, jealousy, outbursts of anger, disputes, dissensions, factions,
Gal 5:21 envying, drunkenness, carousing, and things like these, of which I forewarn you, just as I have forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Now of course everyone who reads this will say... "that's not me", that's the rest of you yayhoos! It seems TalkJesus isn't a haven for Christians, but more of a haven for trolls, and people who want to argue.

It is very evident who is led by the Spirit on here, and who isn't.... I see the same people over and over again.. finding... something...anything... to argue about with someone. They say they are led by the Spirit, and yet the Bible says if you have the Spirit, you will have love, peace, patience, joy, and brotherly love.

I don't see this in some people here on TalkJesus. Now I suppose everyone has an angry moment or two. But some of you have made a life style out of it. Every single thread has some comment that is argumentative, or slanderous, and at the very least... unloving.

... and yet, you claim to be led by the Spirit.

an old saying says actions speak louder than words.... some of you are doing a lot more speaking than you think.

We have some that believe the Bible.
We have some that believe "parts" of the Bible.
We have some that say parts of the Bible don't apply to them.
We have a few that think the Bible isn't needed at all.
We have a couple that choose to use "logic" over scripture.

.... and of course we have many who say you are interpreting that verse or passage wrong.

Somewhere... someone... is not being led by the Spirit here.

I honestly dislike denominationalism (Is that even a word?) ...Still...I have to recognize that all are at a different level of learning, thus a different level of belief... I started off in a Baptist church then to a Nondenominational church...a Pentecostal church. I've left them behind and I'm still growing

Jesus says in (Matt. 7:21-23) (v.21) Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father, which is in heaven. You mean you must do more than call on the name of the Lord to enter into the kingdom of heaven? (Which will be set up on this earth)? (v.22) Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils? And in thy name done many wonderful works? (v.23) And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Now this is not the harlot, the thief, or the murder, these are religious people; some had the power to cast out devils. And what did they put before the Lord? Their works! It’s obvious that their iniquity overrode their wonderful works. But they put their works on the table before the Lord, that’s what you are going to be judged by, your works!
