I have been living with non-stop pain and discomfort following oral cancer surgery and I’m awaiting my next surgery to correct the contortion in my mouth and face. It is such a huge distraction - it consumes me!
(The struggle is real!)
I want to sit with the Lord and worship and give thanks and listen for Him, but this thing makes sitting still and being calm very difficult for me.
I feel like I’m missing out because I really need to connect, but I lack the patience and self-control to focus in.
I’m constantly trying to distract my mind from the pain in my face and neck by immersing myself in hard work or loud music or exercising.
I really want to worship the Lord daily and pray for others regularly, but I don’t know how.
Has anyone ever been through something like this?
Any advice?
Thanks.
