Difficult time living a pure life

Hi everyone. I am new to this site and decided to join after many months of reading and browsing this forum. I have enjoyed and have been encouraged by many of the posts. I am a believer in Christ for many years. I wanted to join to find some new friends. I am a single never married woman with no children. I wanted to meet others like my self here. I am made to feel like an outcast by the world for still being single. Even in the church I feel like an oddity. I am of need of prayer because I have a difficult time living a pure chase life as a single. The pressure of the world for people out the church and inside to compromise is strong and sometime I feel very weak and lonely. I have to continue to trust the Lord, and learn to be content with what the Lord has for me now and for the future.

A more abundant Life to each of us who will trust in Him is where it is at... but our flesh does still live letting us 'feel' the pain of the things of this world.

We should remember where Stephen was as they stoned him to death. He was looking stedfastly to God and His Son. If our vision is clear, even while we are suffering in our flesh we will be looking at the glory of God.

Never stop praying or asking for help:

"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:" Matt 7:7

I am praying with you and for you. Give God the glory for what you already have and what He has for you yet!

Glad to pray for you sister. It can be difficult at times being alone. God created woman to be a helpmate to man, so I can understand you falling prey to this loneliness at times. I will pray for your moral strength, and that your loneliness be filled with love.

I was thinking of your post today as I read this little message written by JC Ryle in the 19th century
May these words be a blessing to you:

Christ cares for all His believing people, and never forgets them.
Forgotten anddespised by the world, perhaps, they are never forgotten by their Savior.
He knows where they dwell, and what their trials are.

A book of remembrance is written for them.
Their tears are all in His bottle!
Their names are engraved on the palms of His hands.

He notices all they do for Him in this evil world, though they think it not worth notice.

Let believers remember this.

In their worst estate they may boldly say with David, "I am poor and needy; yet the Lord thinks upon me." Psalm 40:17

Hi mercy&peace,

I understand how you feel because I too am a single woman who as never been married and I have no children of my own and I'm 43 years old. I've had people in my life tell me it's not normal to be single for as long as I am or I need to grow up and experience the world. Fact is I've experienced the world enough and don't want or need it. I'm very content to wait on God and let Him have complete and total control of every part of my life. Some days are harder than others but when those feelings hit or those thoughts strike we have some decisions to make. We can either give in to those thoughts and feelings or we can decide to instead concentrate on those blessings God has given us in our lives and tell Him how thankful we are for all He has done, for what He is going to do, and for giving us eternal life.




You are very precious to God mercy&peace. He loves you so much and wants for you to have the best that He can give you because He is your heavenly daddy. The truth is even though you are single you are never alone and if the Lord wants you or me to marry one day then it is He who will make that possible. Let the world say what they want but we have a friend, daddy, brother, husband, teacher, savior that loves us more than anyone ever could and that my friend and sister His grace is sufficient and when we wait on Him we will mount as on wings of eagles and we will soar. Who knows maybe one day down the road you and I will be in relationships with wonderful Christian men but for right now let's enjoy what lives the Lord has given us and not worry about what the world thinks or says.

Hi everyone. Thank you for your comments and your prayers. Somedays are better than others and most of the time I am content and have learned how to be a godly single. I have just let myself get blindsided lately. Thank the Lord that I have me come to terms with my singleness for the most part, but I am human and when I let my guard down, the enemy is right there. I have grown in this area of my life over the years. I am glad to meet others like myself, but in all reality right now in my life I do not know many.
