Here is a statement that seems to be read without giving It much thought.
Who is the US in Genesis 1:1?
The answer to this is given in what is Today called, The New Testament.
When Jesus was dying, it is said that He said This: "Father, give Me that which I had with You in The Begining."
This Statement takes the Reader all the way back to Genesis 1:1.
IN the Begining, God created ... . Then: "Let US CREATE... .
This is then the statement which shows what Jesus was telling; and it is not given much thought!
Yet is explains much which is given in The Scriptures. Jesus was at That Time with God. However, this too brings up another subject which is seldom ever seen talked about. That is, Who was the US?

Jesus, The Christ, answered that when He made that statement. How many however really give that statemen much thought? Not many to be sure!
From that statement One may rewrite the verse to read as This: In The Begining of This creation, The US Created, The Heaven and the Earth.

From this, Genesis 1:1 can be read as this: At the start of This Creation, The Elohim created, The heaven, and The Earth.

Now I write that verse as follows:

At that start of This Creation, The Elohim created This heaven and This Earth.
The Bible talks of SEVEN HEAVENS. So then, This particular Heaven, is only One of The Seven. The Apostle Paul talked of more than One Heaven.

This needs to be studied much closer by many who simply read, and do not, study The Bible scriptures. To many read without considering what is written ! Hence the insstruction is: STUDY!

Well the Talmud does. Where specifically does the Bible speak of this?

So then if Seven heavens, then NOT the Ten Heavens of Second Enoch??

Why do so many take The Book of Revelation, so out of context? BEcause They do not STUDY IT!

Well Revelation was not in the canon until the Synod of Hippo Regius in North Africa (A.D. 393). And circa the Council of Nicaea (325 AD) Eusebius noted that about half of the Bishops rejected the book of Revelation as spurious and in the same category as the Revelation of Peter.

It is also not (never was) in the canon of the Church of the East started by the Apostle Thomas.

From that statement One may rewrite...

Getting into dangerous territory in rewriting things, no?

Gen. 1:1 In the beginning God created is the opening statement in Todays Bible.

What beginning? The Beginning of THIS CREATION.

There is no Begining of God. God is Spirit, and always Was, and Will Be. What is called God in The Bible is a term used to express, THE CREATOR of, THIS CREATION.
Notice the order given in Genesis 1:1: 1- The HEAVEN 2- The EARTH . Think on that for a moment.

There was not THIS HEAVEN until it was created by The Elohim! I use the word, Elohim, because that is what the word is in the earlier manuscripts. It is, A plural Proper Pronoun! This means; that It is more than One person! Think on that.

Now look at the change from the Singular Pronoun, to the Plural Pronoun, US. There is now, Two involved in This creation! If there are Two, involved, then God was not alone! The answer to this is given in The New Testament.

When Jesus was dying on The Cross, He said: Father, give Me that which I had with You in The Begining! This takes Us back to Genesis 1:1!
Let US CREATE!

Jesus was in His Spiritual Form, One with His Father, Jehovah Elohim. If One studies the earlier writings pertaining to This Creation, They will find that indeed, The Two of Them, created This Creation!

It is very unfortunate that The Bible is so lacking in many details which are given in other Writings. It must be remembered that King James scholars wrote what was most pleasing to Him! Consider reading - The Book Of Enoch .
My point here is; to many depend on just This Book, called The Bible. It was written by men !

Consider this translation as an example. At the start of This Creation, The Elohim created --- .Let US create. For The SERIOUS SEEKER OF TRUTH, consider reading, "The Book Of Urantia".
