IMMORTALITY

Now to the King. . .immortal. . .

be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

1 Timothy 1:17

FROM THE FATHER'S HEART
My child, one day your closet will no longer need reorganizing. You can throw your old clothes away. No more temptation to stuff it with things you won't wear. When that time comes, you will be clothed in immortality like I am. You will wear your eternal robe of righteousness. I am immortal—and together we will live forever.

A GRATEFUL RESPONSE
When You've completed Your purpose for my life, Lord, I will pass from death to life. I will enjoy Your immortality, like a butterfly taking flight from its cocoon. You give me wings to fly, Lord. When that time comes, I can soar to my heart's content. And I will praise You, My immortal King, with all my heart.

SIMPLE TRUTH

It's hard to put on new clothes when you keep wearing the old ones.

I really like this.

I like to take your analogy of the butterfly a step further:
Were are nothing but a measly worm, not worthy of anything but, because of God's love and grace for us, we will cocoon from this life as a beautiful butterfly for all eternity.

"Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the lord forever"!

Thanks for a great post!!
