READ: Romans 10:1-13

Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. —Romans 10:13

People have many different reasons for rejecting the gospel. A common one is to blame Christians for something they did or did not do. These critics say, "I know a Christian who treated me poorly." Or, "I went to church, and no one talked to me."

Indeed, Christians aren’t perfect, and many can be bad examples. But blaming others doesn’t remove one’s accountability to God.

The truth of the gospel does not depend on the way others live out their faith. Salvation is about Jesus alone. Romans 10:9 says, "If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."

Some people may use Christians as an excuse to reject the gospel. But they certainly can’t point a finger of blame at Jesus. He is sinless and perfect in every way. Pilate said of Him, "I have found no fault in this Man" (Luke 23:14). And Jesus did what no one else could do—He suffered death on a cross to provide salvation for all who believe in Him. That makes it tough for someone to say, "I’m not going to become a Christian because I don’t like what Jesus did."

Don’t get sidetracked by looking at the faults of others. Look to Jesus. He alone is the way to heaven. —Dave Branon

There is no excuse for saying "No" to Christ.

He is the Way, the Truth, the Life—
That One whose name is Jesus;
There is no other name on earth
That has the power to save us. —Sper

This is such an important message because people think that becoming a Christian means becoming perfect.

No one will be perfect untill we are in heaven with Jesus and using the behaviour of Christians as an excuse for not accepting Jesus is just another kind of excuse.
If people don't want to do something they will use anything as an excuse.
In reality they don't want to give their lives to God and anything that they can find wrong with a person, a church or whatever, they will use as an excuse. Not because it is valid but only to cover their own wrong choices with what they think is acceptable reasoning.

Thanks for sharing.

Blessings!

Amen. I do agree but we still must live as Chirst live. Not that we will be perfect but our attitude. The gossiping, back biting, behavior can change. I see people that go to church on Sunday and the way they live through the week you can't believe that's the same person. We are lights and examples to the dying world. And that need to mean something to us believers the way these people are living make the sinners feel like they ain't lacking nothing.

I agree completely, it is a shame if you look at how Christians or people claiming to be Christians misbehave every day.
I myself was hurt many times by Christians and if we look to them and not to God we will falter and become lost.
Our behavior is also a testimony to others which is lacking in many ways.

Indeed, Christians aren’t perfect, and many can be bad examples. But blaming others doesn’t remove one’s accountability to God.

Yes at the end of the day you can't stand in front of God and say this or that person is the reason for me not being reborn. Each person must make a decision and blaming others for making the wrong decisions will not be accepted by God.

I think that both sides Christians and non Christians have a responsibility and we can make a difference by starting with ourselves and making sure our behavior is acceptable to God and a witness to others to thirst for God.

Mat 19:14 but Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven."

hinder [híndər]
get in the way of: to delay or obstruct the development or progress of somebody or something

In God's eyes we are all children and by our behavior we can hinder others to come to God so I implore all Christians to live with love, mercy and grace at all times - whether you feel like it or not.

Thanks for touching this subject I really think this is extremely important - it can mean life or death to many.

Blessings!

Amen of Course we must and will give an account for ourselves. Like you say we must look to the Author and Finisher of our Faith. Cause man will fail you but Christ ca never.
