God's chosen people from the Old Testament:

Genesis 17: 7 I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.
10 This is my covenant with you and your descendants after you, the covenant you are to keep: Every male among you shall be circumcised.

Acts 2: 22 Ye men of Israel, hear these words

Acts 3:25 (KJV)
Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Acts 11:19 (KJV)
Now they which were scattered abroad upon the persecution that arose about Stephen travelled as far as
Phenice, and Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to none but unto the Jews only.

Gentiles:
Ephesians 2:11
Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands;

12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.

Ephesians 2:8

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

Did the Jews scatter in Acts 11 because the persecution, preaching the Word to none but Jews only every where they went?

Persecution. But while "most" of the Apostle preached to the Jews, Paul and Barnabas were sent to the Gentiles. Also even though Stephen did miracles and signs,
there is some debate over whether he was an Apostle or not. Paul also had Timothy, Silas and Mark to help him.

The Jews of this period understood one thing, That Jesus was Lord and He is alive.

He was raise from the dead to return to the Father and would return very soon

They were looking forward to the second coming and they believed it would be in their lifetime.

Indeed, many Jews at the time believed Christ, There are some today also who accept Him. Although the Jews have been scattered in these latter days, they were scattered in old testament times also. They have always been scattered, mostly because of the hardness of heart and disobedience. Take the Tower of Babel. Many of the righteous were led away from Jerusalem prior to it's destruction because it had become a place where evil had taken over. And may of the prophesies of the scattering of Israel were for today and of course the concentration camps of WW2 were also fulfilling of prophecy.

Initially the Jews thought the Messiah would come in some form of glory, that He would be recognised because he looked like a king as apposed to be born into the most humble of circumstances. Thus even at these times scriptures were not fully understood.

The Jews were scattered to the farthest points over the earth, it was God's way of protecting them. But God also said he would call them back to the land He gave them through Abraham, and He did, on 14 May 1948, Israel became a state again. PTL. Since then they have continued to return, currently there are around nine million Jews in the Holy Land.

But there was another clear move which started around 1970, they are The Messianic Jews, Jews for jesus, Yeshua ha Mashiach. I believe there are currently around 350,000 and the numbers are growing worldwide.

question: What nationality was the 12 Apostles? And what Nationality of those who were gathered to celebrate "The Passover" on The day of Pentecost ?

Were there other days of Pentecost not in Israel? 1 Cor 16:8;
Were Gentiles allowed to celebrate passover? Exod 12:48; Numb 9:14;
Is Jesus called the passover for Gentiles? 1 Cor 5:7;
