Hi Brothers and Sisters,
Please could someone explain to me what Colossians 2:15 is all about?
How did 'Jesus on the cross disarm the rulers and authorities'. What did he say, how did he do that?
And how did he have victory over them? In what way? Was it 'by making a public show of satan'? What does that exactly mean?
Thank you.
I think this will show a little light. Jesus had not received all power yet until He finish his mission. On the cross He said: "It is Finish" The mission God the Father had given Him. And when He rose from the Grave He receive "ALL Power in Heaven and that is in the Cosmos" from His Father! "ALL AUTHORITY" remember Everything that exists is a creation of "THE ALMIGHTY GOD", GOD does not live in HIS creation, His place [ zip code ] is "ETERNITY"
A portion of His prayer to God The Father in (John 17) before he died on the cross.
“Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. 2For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. 3Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. 4I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. 5And now, Father, glorify me in your presence with the glory I had with you before the world began.
And when He rose from the grave, Then He received all Authority in heaven and on earth from His Father.
