Christian troubles!

John and Sam were friends. One day, John asked, "Sam, how come you're a Christian and yet you have all these troubles and trials and tribulations? Here I don't even believe in God, and yet I don't have as nearly much trouble as you do!"
"Well, John, I don't know. I guess I'll have to think awhile before I can answer that one," Sam answered.
A few days later the two went duck hunting.
John shot into a flock of ducks, and several fell into the shallow water of the pond from where they had just flown. Some of them were dead, but others were just wounded. John knew from experience that sometimes the wounded ducks will get up and fly off again if you don't grab them quickly. So as Sam ran to the spot where the ducks had fallen John called out,
"Bag the live ones! Bag the live ones! Don't worry about the dead ones! You can collect them later!"
When Sam came back with the ducks, he had a smile on his face.
"I think I've got the answer to your question!" he said. "You see, I'm a live one! The Devil is afraid I'm going to get away, so he tries to bag me first. You ... well, you're a dead one. He's already got you, so he's not a bit worried about what you're going to do!"

Blessings!

Wow thats a great story! Although to tell someone their the dead one might be a little harsh, depending on the tone at least.

Yip, that's why I love you brother Chad, you always think of the others involved. I don't think if I call my friends the dead ones they'd appreciate it, lol.

God bless you brother ;)

Very good story. I know that when we are under attack we know we are doing something right. When people come to Jesus from the enemy camp the devil will try and get them back again.

I would say those who do not know Jesus yet are in spiritual darkness and are spiritually dead. When they ask Jesus to be Lord of their life then they are spiritually alive and come under more attacks. God does help us through these times.

God bless

Pray tell me sister, what the name of that Bible is I'd like one like that myself.

Romans 5 v 3
And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;
We will be a patient people through them, I find myself asking Jesus to give me patience then I realize, oh I already have it, it just needs released in me, then my prayer changes to 'release it Lord please', it works.
1 Corinthians 3 v 16
Know ye not that ye are a temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
already have Him, sometimes it's easy to forget that much power comes from within.
1 John 4 v 4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Isn't He just awesome our Lord.
