Praise the Lord!!
fallen
Can you achieve perfection, and be perfect like God is in Heaven? You can be a perfect man, and complete here on Earth, a full grown son of the most high God. Walking with the power and name of Jesus in the authority and strength of God's word on your lips.
You can't be perfect like God? Really? Even as God runs the heaven, doing all things in wisdom and diligence, so can you do the plan of God on earth with wisdom and diligence.
The first tick Satan ever used was to tell Eve......... Your not like God, no...... but if you eat this fruit, then God knows you will be like him, knowing Good and evil. The same old lousy trick being told to mankind for years, that we just don't measure up, and there is no point in even trying, just quit. We quit, we are out of Satan's way, one less issue he has to worry about.
You are going to be judged by one thing. Your sins and goofy ways are covered by the blood. Satan would like to confuse that issue, get us focused on what we are not. Even Moses tried to explain to God that he was not a very good speaker. I can't God, I don't talk so well. That did not stop God from using Moses and getting his people out of Egypt and Moses forever getting his name in the Eternal word of God.
1Co 3:13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is.
1Co 3:14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
1Co 3:15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
When Judgement comes, it won't be about sin if Jesus is your Lord and your sin have been covered. It will be about what you did while you here on earth. If Satan can get us to focus on what we are not, get us focused on ourselves, he can take us off the path, and stop our race. We can then sit in the corner and feel sorry for ourselves.
The Prize comes from finishing your race, not from some perfection in holiness you could never obtained, being lied to by the devil. The lie is to get you to quit, because someone that finishes their course has greatly damaged the Kingdom of darkness, and all the hard work and effort Satan has put into it.
Satan can work on someone for years, making the sick, depressed, and believing a lie. It takes one of us filled with the Love of God 10 seconds with a word from God to destroy 10 years of hard work from the Kingdom of Darkness. A child of God running their race, getting up when they fall, and keep running doing the will of God, Is Satan's Worst nightmare.
1Co 9:24 Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain.
2Ti 4:7 I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
2Ti 4:8 Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
It's not about us, it's not about how we feel, it's not what we are not. It's all about being a body part with a function, in the body of Christ. It's about how God uses us, and what he created us for. We are his workmanship, not our own.
Eph 2:10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
God said you where created unto good works, so believe that. God said that, so it's not based on our silly ways, or our mistakes, it's based on What God said about us. God is always right.
Php 1:6 Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
You have a plan of God to do while on earth, no matter what mistakes you make, no matter what evil things you battle, God is still working in you, equipping you to get this race run. There is no race if Satan can make us give up, and lie to us, getting us to believe God is unable to perform any good work in us because we are just different than the rest, and not like everyone else. That's a lie!!! Paul had the answer, saying.
Php 3:13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
Php 3:14 I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.
You have 10 years of this torment, what would Paul tell you? He would tell you to forget it, and RUN!!! Find and do what God called you to do!! Focus on that.
You don't think you measure up, and are not perfect? That is the same trash Satan fed Eve, same excuse Moses tried to tell God, Look at Peter, that guy was something else, but look where he ended up.
God already knew about all your ways, and issues long before you came into the body of Christ, don't think you surprised him, with anything. Even in that, He still said you have a great plan for you life, you have a race to run, you have a mission to do.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
If the devil can make you think your some special case, make you think your just different somehow, that is pride brother, and only being focused on yourself, and it's a lie. I know I have sinned, but I don't stop, I know I have to do what my Father told me to do, it's not about me, but it's about the lost. I have to keep going, repent, and brush myself off. I focus on the end, the prize, the race. Not myself. I focus on those that need God, my part in all this. Let God finish his workmanship in me, Let Jesus deal with my sin and mistakes. I keep going, knowing I am going to make it, and getting stronger making less mistakes, doing less sin. I keep running.
Rom 11:29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.
It don't matter what we think about ourselves, God is not going to removing his calling from us, and not remove the grace and power to get our calling done. We can remove ourselves, listening to the devil.
Get up, tell God here I am use me, and I'll walk this thing out, getting stronger. I am no longer focused on what I am not, but what I will be, and I will do all that I was called to do here on earth. Watch out Satan, this man is getting up to run his course, and you can't stop me anymore. Jesus is My Lord, and my mistakes and sin is between me and my Lord. Now move out of the way Satan, I have a race to run.
Jesus Is Lord.

Thank you for sharing your heart Brother.I know it's so very easy to look at ourselves, and think, "Ya, no way I am going to make the grade and mark in this life." The problem is, lots of us have no idea what that grade and mark is, or even what we are suppose to achieve. Let me explain something, we have an enemy that is dead set to kill us and get us out of the way. Satan could care less about you being perfect or sinning, or much else when it comes to a godly walk, what ever method you give him to render you useless and non effective, will suit him fine, if he has no power to just outright kill you. As long as your out of the way, all good to him.So the question I asked comes from a decade of yearning to have that perfect life again. Through my trials I have learned that I am not perfect nor ever will be and I am saddened that it may never happen again. So when the Word says be perfect as your heavenly father is perfect I grieve because I know I can never attain it. I can only speak for myself and no one else. So I am willing to listen and learn from my peers. I hope I have answered your question Brother Mike.
