“But two men had remained in the camp: the name of one was Eldad, and the name of the other Medad. And the Spirit rested upon them. Now they were among those listed, but who had not gone out to the tabernacle; yet they prophesied in the camp.”
‭‭Numbers‬ ‭11:26‬ ‭

The first question that came to mind while reading this passage is why they didn’t go to tabernacle of the meeting?

I remember a lady when she was being choosen by her pastor to lead a ministry in the church, she was so hesistant that she refuse because she thinks that she’s not able and not worthy to receive such from the Lord.

Have you been in that season too where you think you are not qualified to be chosen by the Lord?

There could be a lot of reason that only Eldad and Medad knows but here we see two truths about GOD:

1. He is able to do exceedingly and mightily more than we think or imagined.

- we see here that the Spirit of God is not only confine in the tabernacle, but just like a wind, it blows where it listeth. He is ABLE because He is GOD and nothing is impossible with Him.

2. He qualifies the called

- that’s just His grace, He does not look at outward appearance. Medad and Eldad might felt the same way, not deserving and worthy of such a promotion but the Lord doesnt look at our weaknesses, at the man’s standard but He looks at the heart.
