I was kicked and banned today for profanity which I never use, I am disappointed it kicked me because I sent a link to a friend to a site he wanted. The Chat room either needs to be reconfigured or moderated 24/7 to allow chat to be free. I never use profanity and it said i did which upset me. This needs to be rectified. If it was because I used a link to a website I understand as that is the rules. I forgot I cannot post links yet for profanity...Please. :coocoo:

What you need to do is send Chad a private message. He's the only one I believe that can get you back in there.

Even if you didn't use what YOU would call profanity, I have noticed if you use the wrong words...verbs included you'll get kicked. I did. :S

So just keep that in mind.

I think chat can't be moderated ALL the time. People have lives. They need to work, spend time with their spouse and family, etc.

Http is a curse word according to the language filter. We are not suppose to send links in the Chat room. Also, the first time you hit Enter there is a warning, giving you time to rethink what you just typed.

If you hit enter again, then you accept full responsibility for your message, and if a link is included which is against the rules, you get kicked for about 15 minutes.

So, breaking the rules in the first place caused you to get trapped by the language filter. This certainly is nobody's fault but your own.

If your upset about being flagged for a curse word, it's only because there is one filter, and one default message to be displayed. That is in the language filter itself.

This is a automated process, your account was not flagged, or marked in anyway. There is nothing we keep track of if you get yourself kicked for 15 min, even if you do it several times a day.

You can take the Http off a link, and leave the www instead. However, more often than not, this leads to a page not found. We do not encourage this, and you can be reported for posting links, if someone is not happy with the link you posted.

Your best bet is to leave a P.M on this site to them with the link. Just hope they wanted the link, and it does not get reported.

In any case, posting any link anywhere on this forum could give your account an infraction, or even banned. Just keep that in mind.

I do understand really. In hindsight it must have been the link i posted in there. The filter just proves it works. I totally forgot about sending links at that time. All is well.
