May Jesus fill us with his love and wisdom
Over the years I've observed that charismatics or so they are called, commonly will go through a period of time of trial within themselves and their charismatic community.
I believe that this happens when people are more focused on the gifts of the Spirit and their own accomplishments then they are focused on Jesus.
It doesn't really matter which church we are talking about or even individuals who try not to belong to any particular Church. It is more important to do the will of God than it is to do what we think the will of God should be.
In my personal opinion, I think that the most important gift after love is discernment. Because if a person cannot distinguish when God moves within you, speaks to you. God the Father, jesus, the Holy Spirit. Then how do you know who it is that's talking?
If a person is speaking and saying that the words come from God, and they themselves cannot recognize God when he talks. How in the world can that person actually say that this is from God?
Those who do have the Gifts of the Spirit, need to work on using them. Now I know I've said this before that not everything is written in stone as far as the gifts of the Spirit goes. I know there are a few people out there that are blessed with receiving the gifts of the Spirit and no full well what they're doing right off the bat. But the vast majority of us, myself included have to learn how to recognize God when he speaks to us.
Sorry I've gotten a little bit off my own track LOL.
Let's go back to talking about charismatics, that is those who are baptized in the spirit that make little communities within the churches.
It's important for people to remember that just because you're baptized with the spirit does not make you above the others that are not baptized in the spirit. It is a type of blessing that helps you to learn deeper about God so that you can share with others about the depth of God's love.
There are some Churches that are not really into the baptism of the spirit. It is important to note, that whether a person is baptized or not baptized in the spirit does not change whether or not you're going to go to heaven or not.
There are plenty of people in the world who were not baptized in the spirit who have gone to heaven. An example would be the thief on the cross who died on the cross with Jesus. He was never baptized in the spirit and yet he was with Jesus in Paradise that day.
I do know that it's better if a person is baptized in the spirit because the spirit is constantly drawing you to Jesus constantly drawing us deeper into the love of God.
For those who are baptized in the spirit and struggle in Pride and other things work on finding Jesus in everyday life. Place others above you on the totem pole and become the least. Become the servant of others. Doing this and putting God first in everything will remove that temptation of pride, understand that God gives you those gifts to do the work of God and not for self satisfaction.
