Castles of the mind

There is in Christianity a mind set that thinks it knows everything, and needs no instruction from anyone. When we read something from another brother or sister, we just skim over it briefly because we think we already know all this stuff. And then when they respond back, it is as if they never even read what they are responding too.

These are called “castles”, and “fortresses” in the mind of man that have been built up. While the Bible tells us to tear down, cast down these things, we instead have built them up so that they are now more fortified then they were before.
We are more willing to hide behind these walls, and fight to our very last breath, than to accept we might be wrong, and let go, because it is the "anointing" that breaks and destroys every yoke!!

2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the PULLING DOWN OF STRONG HOLDS:wink:
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

The Greek word for, “strong holds” means, “A stronghold, fortification, fortress, to fortify, a castle” We can either chose to let the Word of God which is the weapon that is spiritual, to destroy carnal thinking that is against the “knowledge of God” or we can just let the castle stand firm, and never grow in spirit or truth.

The knowledge of God is just that, the knowledge that comes from God, and NOT the knowledge that comes from our own carnal logical mind that is the enemy of God!!! We are to bring every thought captive unto the obedience of Christ, not to the obedience of what we think is right in our head, or what somebody told us is right!!!

Spiritual growth is a constant learning new things, that many times are not compatible to what we thought was true. If we are unwilling to be taught new things, then we will stay were we are and never grow spiritually. We do not want to be of those who are ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
