It seems every time a man of God speaks, theres a brother or sister sitting in the corner, prepared to rebuke him because he has 'anger issues', or even worse, telling him he is not being 'loving' or the very worst, he uses words that are 'offensive' to sinners *gasp!*
"We now call iniquity -GODS WORD - is "infirmity."
Wickedness - GODS WORD- is just "weakness";
Adultery and fornication, -GODS WORD- is just "having an affair."
Lust -GODS WORD - is called "love."
Sodomy -GODS WORD- is now being "GAY."
The Harlot -GODS WORD- is inoffensively named a "female escort."
And Christians in TALK JESUS want to get all up in arms at BROTHERINARMS for calling a homesexual a "queer"? Does anyone who`s read the Holy Bible really believe the Holy God is sitting on His throne winking at the homosexual?
I wonder how much longer it will be before we begin hearing the term "christian pedofile" ...heaven forbid we should call them a devilish,
evil, venomous snake! No we must preach acceptance and love and
'bear with them' until 'someday' they get the victory. Let me tell you something, and I say this in the Spirit, and not of myself, satan already has the victory if you and I are going to take this stance. Neither fighting on the Lord`s side, (because fighting is not very christ like) nor doing what the sinner does (for that surely would`nt be christian) Neither hot, nor cold, just sitting safely in our foxholes, loving the enemies of the cross, while our comrades in Christ fall..one by one by one...
Church SHAKE YOURSELVES out of your apathy! God is angry, God is spitting out our lukewarmness, should`nt we at least get a little bit stirred up over these satanic perversions of all that is HOLY! You want to show 'love' to the sinner? Tell him the TRUTH! Quit patting the sinner on the back and coddling him and telling him he`s ok as long as he believes in God. Many a man who 'believed' in God will find himself in a sinners hell because he did`nt repent of his sin!
God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. Psa 7:11
Please note, it does NOT say God is angry with sin, it says GOD IS ANGRY WITH THE SINNER!
God has no POSITIVE views of sin, and the names Jesus called the the religious naysayers were 'NOT NICE!' As a matter of fact, there`s a whole lot about Gods Word that is not 'nice'!
So let's get back to the Word, and stop forbidding the preaching of it! The soothsayers in the world are dangerous, but the "smooth-sayers" in the church are equally dangerous. The 'nonstriving' person who elects to avoid problems, by preaching only peace and love and unity, actually creates new ones, such as can easily be found in these threads.
No one will ever shine in God`s kingdom, who thinks of saying only fine and acceptable things to tickle mens ears!
Recall the words of the apostle Paul when dealing with a sexually immoral man ...
1Co 5:4 ...deliver such an one unto Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
(they may well have accused Paul of not being very loving over that statement!)
As well he sorrowfully adds...And ye are puffed up, and have not rather mourned, that he that hath done this deed might be taken away from among you.
(too puffed up, too busy going about being good, to get upset over sin?)
Col 2:18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility ...vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind.
Rev 11:3 And I will give [power] unto my two witnesses...And if any man will hurt them, fire proceedeth out of their mouth, and devoureth their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
(oh...God appears to have some serious anger issues!)
2Pe 2:2 And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 2Pe 2:3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you: whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their damnation slumbereth not... (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed [his] righteous soul from day to day with [their] unlawful deeds;)
2Co 2:17 For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.
Psa 94:16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? [or] who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?
Rom 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
