I have just been watching Sky News concerning the terrible events that are currently going on out in Australia. So far well over a hundred people have lost their lives and the fires are still raging. It is on Sky News, BBC, and all the other news channels in the UK.
At times like these, especially for those who are directly affectedby the tragedy, words of comfort mean little as they try in vain to pick up what is left of their shattered lives and carry on as best they can.
Of those of us who are Christians, let us give thanks that none of us have been directly affected, and also remember in our prayers not only the relatives of those whose lives have been taken asunder, but also the fire fighters and all emergency services who lay their lives on the line at times like these. All we can do on this side of the world is to donate towards a fund if one is set up, and also pray they those affected will somehow find the strength and fortitude to see them through these difficult times. Your Brother in Christ, Fred
