For unclean spirits, crying out with a loud voice, came out of many who had them, and many who were paralyzed or lame were healed. So there was much joy in that city. Acts 8:7-8 ESV

Jesus performed many miracles. These stories populate the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. When Jesus returned to heaven, and God’s Spirit came to live among men, the miracles didn’t stop.

The apostle Philip took advantage of each God opportunity. People were healed, questions answered, and demons fled as Philip moved through the Samaritan crowd.

The people of Samaria were not used to outside help. The people of Israel usually didn’t associate with them. Most people in Samaria had Jewish relatives, yet they were shunned because a parent or grandparent wasn’t an Israelite.

A story like this is important because of the healing of Samaritans, but also because these left-out people were suddenly brought together in Jesus Christ—regardless of name, ancestry, and skin tone.

The rescue plan of God is not a test run, a limited time offer, or available only on a first-come-first-served basis.

Do not withhold God’s rescue plan from people God never rejected. It’s good news for you and it will be for them.

Prayer: Dear God, help me be so focused on Your message that I remember it’s priceless to all people in all nations. I want to be so overpowered by the completeness of Your rescue plan that I believe there’s no one who falls outside Your circle of love.
