we can see God's expectations in the Bible and even in Hebrew traditional culture a differentiation and establishment showing a difference difference between = " SERVANT / SERVICE ............. and ............SLAVERY / BONDAGE .
there is a huge difference
We see from the beginning that God intended humans to have dominion over the earth - to place the earth into bondage under humans
Gen 1:26 let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. :28 ......and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over.............every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God created the earth for humans to have dominion over the earth, to put the earth under bondage,\ this same principle is given for Jacob in dealing with Esau, ...........please notice what the Bible says here in Gen 27:40
:40 And by thy sword Esau shalt thou live, and shalt serve thy brother Jacob ; and it shall come to pass when thou shalt have the dominion, that thou shalt break his yoke from off thy neck.
what was the situation that Esau was in, he had already went and married 2 Canaanite women
this blessing was referring to Jacob and Esau - - yes, Isaac blesses Esau but there is a condition that he will serve, { remain a servant } of Jacob until that Esau would be able to have dominion - in other words better his life and choices - the act of marrying a Canaanite woman from the seed of Cain was something that his parents, specifically his mother Rebecca had forbid him to do, in fact she pleased and begged Esau to never marry of the seed of Cain.. This was a blood crime in the eyes of God at this time miXing your seed with the seed of Cain.
this is why he did not receive the blessing, for Rebecka was so ashamed of what Esau had done in breaking the covenant and mixing his seed with Canaanite wives.
Isaac married the daughter of Ishmael and married from multiple Canaanite woman of the Hittites and refused to make a union with God's plan for the seed of Abraham. This was in defiance and in opposition and enmity against God - even beautiful mother Rebecca and Isaac were shamed and felt the sorrow and pain with this - to know that Esau would never follow the covenant that God had established with God for his genuine natural seed.
Gods plan for Cain, also was to practice, in faith, of course, the proper ways in performing sacrifice, in order to establish the importance of the blood ritual and how to properly live clean and healthy, in having this dominion over the earth,
