GOD cleanses of unrighteousness by chastening if necessary to purge us of sin, for he who has suffered has ceased from sin.
The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together (Romans 8:16-17).
Children of GOD are predestined to overcome the world and become sons of GOD and heirs of the <st1
lace w:st="on"><st1laceType w:st="on">Kingdom</st1laceType> of <st1laceName w:st="on">GOD</st1laceName></st1lace>.
He who overcomes (the world) shall inherit all things, and I will be his God and he shall be My son. (Revelation 21:7)
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father but is of the world. (1 John 2:16)
In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world." (John 16:33b)
Who is he who overcomes the world, but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? (1 John 5:5)
For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren (Romans 8:29). Those He foreknew are called to salvation and predestined to be born of GOD as children of GOD and then overcome the world (the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life) by being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ to be sons of GOD and heirs of the <st1lace w:st="on"><st1laceType w:st="on">Kingdom</st1laceType> of <st1laceName w:st="on">GOD</st1laceName></st1lace>.
And in respect to "Knowing if we have been saved from sin and born of GOD?"
If we know that He is righteous, we know that everyone who practices righteousness is born of Him. (1 John 2:29)
Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God. (1 John 3:9)
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. (1 John 4:7)
We know that whoever is born of God does not sin; but he who has been born of God keeps himself, and the wicked one does not touch him. (1 John 5:18)
Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us. (1 John 3:24)
And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment. (1 John 3:23)
We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. (1 John 3:14)
….. "Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the <st1lace w:st="on"><st1laceType w:st="on">kingdom</st1laceType> of <st1laceName w:st="on">God</st1laceName></st1lace>." (John 3:3)
For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first (1 Thessalonians 4:16). Jesus Christ arose from the dead first before He ascended, so also, believers rise to life by being born of GOD in the resurrection with Christ first before ascending by being caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air.
Resurrection in Christ-Rising to life from being "dead in trespasses and sins" precedes "rapture" (ascending - being "caught-up" together).
