oh dear, didn't mean this to cause any strife.
It was only that guy David C Peck, was referring to being Born Again, as only occouring after we die, which is untrue.

This seems now to have gone aluf, and created thoughts of which you now disagree on, I did not set out for this to happen.

We discussed what Peck has said and agreed he's got it wrong.
I haven't heard a reply from the email I sent of regards it as yet.

Please don't let this topic cause any friction between you.
I feel rather responsible seeing as I started this off.

Can we all be the brothers and sisters in Christ he'd want us to be, without squabbling, we all love and adore our Saviour.

We need to understand that the term firstborn from the dead was used figuratively by the apostle Paul in the quoted scriptures, not literally. Paul is saying that Jesus should have the position of highest honor in the family of God just as the first-born son has the position of highest honor among the children of Jewish parents.

Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Death is thought of as an end to life as we know it. When Adam ate from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil he died and so would all who are born of the seed of Adam. Death is separation from the tree of Life, in other words separation from God. Adam did not physically die yet he was indeed dead. The first man Adam was created by God, not born of God and Adam surely died.

John 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

The firstborn of God, "Jesus" was made flesh in order to overcome death (separation from God). We are "Born Again" of that same incorruptible seed. We are no longer separated from God because we have abiding in us this new "Life" and as this new "Life" is manifest our ressurrection progresses from death (separation from God) to fellowship with the Tree of Life within culminating in:

Eph 5:27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

Ressurrection from the dead very simply stated is having fellowship with Jesus and through this fellowship the putting away of the death of the flesh. It is an eternal walk with Jesus and it is happening as we fellowship with Him.

Romans 8 v 7
Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

May we have all that's carnal cut away from us also.
To prefect a good work in our hearts and in line with His very own heart.

To add to the physical birth after death, Job 19:26 states the "Though my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh I will see the Lord". We will be raised from the grave in fleshly form.

1 Corinth. 15:51-53 relates the events of what will happen after we are ressurected.
Deacon Bob seems to have a spiritual revelation of these events.

Job realized that he would see the Lord in his flesh and Paul was able to record the events that would take place by revelation from God.
