Book of Revelation [Study]: Chapter 1

I like to think about how god put this book together in the first place, and this is what I believe.

In his dying breath Jesus gave John to Mary, Mary gave a childs scrapbook to John, and then John went to Patmos and retrieved the seven letters that Jesus had hidden there. My guess is that sometime during his life, perhaps Jesus upturned the tables in a writing den or something, some where that scrolls were being re-written for trade, and this was how he ended up on Patmos.

John had what Mary gave him for a long time before he went to Patmos and he used what he Found to begin and end the book. (The difference in 616, 656 and 666 being the number of years from 586 BC, when the arc went missing.)

However not all that is written can be found in the rest of the book. In fact only two thirds of the book of rev is written else where in the bible. Enter the holy spirit!

Think about this.
What were the top four ways to kill a man in the day and not get blood on your hands?
Bow, sword, drugs and a King who can give the order into the hands of another.
2,000 years ago a local woman would have had a hard time finding a husband after Herods slaughter, and now in China, a man has to deal with the unavailability of a bride. Hence a place for a dragon in the story, and with no curse in the end, do we study Multiply and fill. The first thing we had ears to hear God say to us on day six when he created us.

Knowing the kind of man Jesus was, I think these are good indicators of what he may have studied as a child and made a note of, and in it this god relays his message.
