Now regarding your question about food that has been offered to idols. Yes, we know that "we all have knowledge" about this issue. But while knowledge makes us feel important, it is love that strengthens the church. Anyone who claims to know all the answers doesn't really know very much. But the person who loves God is the one whom God recognizes. 1 Corinthians 8:1-3 NLT
Love is the very lifeblood of Christ’s body. How we love each other, Jesus told His disciples at the Last Supper, would be a witness to the world of Him. It was so critical that Jesus made it a “new commandment,” repeating it twice in the same evening (John 13:34, 15:12). Sometimes we think of Jesus only coming to fulfill God’s commandments, not make new ones—but that’s exactly what He did, after washing His disciples’ feet. The apostle John experienced that moment and echoed it, saying, “If we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is made complete in us” (1 John 4:12).
Spiritual knowledge is important, and you should pursue it, but Peter exhorts us to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18). You can see that the context of knowledge is grace. Knowledge without grace leads to conceit, and God “opposes the proud” (1 Peter 5:5). Strive to love your brothers and sisters from your heart and be recognized by the Father as a true body builder!
