What does the suffix “ian” mean in Christian?
It means belonging to, coming from, being involved in, and being like someone. (in our case)
What does Christ mean?
The Anointed One.
Now how many have you have seen Sister Act 2?
There’s a part on there where Denise is talking to one of the girls about being a singer and she says “when you wake up in the morning and can think of nothing other than being a singer than you’re a singer”
Christians can use that as well. When you wake up in the morning and can think of nothing else but being a Christian and doing God’s will for that day. Then you’re a Christian
Otherwise something/someone else is your God.
1 John 5:21
IF it’s in your hearts, it is/was your thoughts the only thing on your mind than it’s your God.
That can be anything, People, Games, T.V. or even school. Because it’s what you’ve taken the time to spend with the most.
To be a Christian and to be that ian you have to
Belonging To Christ- Galations 5:24
“24 Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there.”
To belong to Christ means you took your desires that of what could become your God and said no way. IT means that doing something you know is wrong…is not something you’re going to allow yourself to do. It means when he died on that cross your flesh did to. And it means when you do make a mistake you allow Him to forgive you.
And we know we can do this because he’s anointed us to.
17 This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
Philippians 2:1
[ Have the Attitude of Christ ] Is there any encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate?

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory. Col 3:1-4
To come from Christ is just simply being reborn and becoming a new creation, having a renewed mind etc.
You are not a ian if you are not already this way.

I cry out to God Most High, to God who will fulfill his purpose for me.
There are many scriptures I could use for purpose. But I wanted to use this one because when we think about the purpose of God we should cry out to him. Cry out to him for the loss, and ask him to help us fulfill this purpose.
This is what it means to do your purpose and to be involved in him. If you are doing your purpose you automatically are involved in him because you’re involved in his will for you.
The only way to do that is to get a relationship and to meditate on His word so that he can show his will. In doing this you are making a real relationship with Him not just a yeah I know Jesus we brothers….just does not cut it. He wants it to be real. He wants you to cry out to him.
Being like Christ –
Genesis 1:26
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.”
Refers to Authority
And refers to taking the example he gave us in being THE EXAMPLE and living it.
There’s again many verses to use for this. But I will sum it up with.
Matthew 10:8
Heal the sick, raise the dead, cure those with leprosy, and cast out demons. Give as freely as you have received!
John 5:17
My father is always working and so am I
19 I tell you the truth the Son can do nothing by himself. He does only what he sees the father doing. Whatever the father does the Son also does.
YOU KNOW you have to have a relationship with him when the only way to be like him is to be able to know what God is doing.
