This quotation from the Quran directly contradicts what the Biblical gospel accounts say. For example, Jesus says in John 8:49-59
"Your father Abraham rejoiced that he would see my day. He saw it and was glad.” So the Jews said to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have you seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I am.” So they picked up stones to throw at him, but Jesus hid himself and went out of the temple.
Jesus - at the age of around 30 - claimed he was before Abraham. By saying "I AM" he directly referenced the holy name of God. The temple authorities understood this as a claim to divinity and set about stoning him to death.
This is the dilemma that anybody has when they encounter Jesus. Is he a blasphemer worthy only of death, or is he God become man and worthy of our total submission and adoration?
I don't know how familiar you are with the gospel accounts of Jesus life. Please read them carefully and with an open mind before you come to a final decision.
And may the only true guide you in the way of wisdom.
