Benny Hinn: Fraud

Examine yourself, your last post is full of judgement upon Chad which you condemn. You are condemneing yourself as you have done previously. I think you have a God complex as you seem to believe that you speak the very words of God, a very dangerous and unscriptural mode of thought and action. I tried to point that out to you in my previous post. Christ talks about those that are slow to learn and slow to listen, I hope you do not fall into this category.

As far as Benny Hinn is concerned, none of his so called "miracles" have stood up under independent investigation. In other words, the claims of healing from his crusades is false.

okay, gotta be honest here, that man scares me. Sounds like there is demonic possession there. Why hasn't anybody tried to stop him?? He was chastised a number of years ago however he is back at it it seems. He extorts money from people, that is horrible. Maybe that growling has to do with something being in his throat...someone should have handed him some water.

I'd love the see the scriptures that

a.) deny that modern medicine is a gift of healing
B.) support your claim that the gift of healing is intended for modern times.

I'm looking for specific scriptures that support your claims. This has to be more that your interpretation or understanding of them.

Is Benny Hinn a fraud or not. I'm not the judge. I, personally, belive he is more about building his own 'kindom' rather than the Kingdom of God. The gift of healing is opperating in the world today. I know its true because I have been healed - instantly. I was faced with an operation on my back. I was seeking the Lord for relief of the pain and it was impressed on me to go to church that evening - not my regular church but another in the neighborhood. I went and there was a missionary speaker there. The last thing I wanted to do at that time is sit through a long drawn out message about some forign country. As he stood to speak he said he felt impressed to pray. He first asked all who were going through difficulties to come up front. I just sat. After some people went forward he asked all who were sick to stand. I just sat. Suddenly I heard a voice behind me say "Stand Up" (by this time the missionary had began to pray) I looked behind me to see who had spoken - there was no one there so I turned back around. Again I heard the voice - so strong I could do nothing but stand up. As I did the man praying fell silent for the space of about 30 seconds and then he continued saying "Lord, someone just stood who has a problem in their back, please heal them." Instantly I felt I was hit in the back and all pain left and to this day it has never bother me. Praise God - no operation.

Back to Benny - when you mix theatrics with gullible people - people who run here and there looking for a move of God, you have a dangerous combination. And it stirs fear in me.

Who called you a liar pappa? As far as I know, medicine healing has nothing to do with time. Medicine existed since day one (well generally speaking). I think medicine itself is certainly a gift from GOD to heal us, in one way. I think it is both possible as a gift for those already with faith and those without faith. Aferall, medicine keeps using busy (work) and allows us to use our other gift from GOD, brain (ok knowledge)

I believe the gift of healing is 100% real. Its just a messy world and difficult sometimes to tell who is using it by GOD's will and who is using it as a "show" for their own kingdom. There is no doubt that the gift of healing is real today. Read stories from many Christian ministries such as GFA, BGEA, Life Outreach, etc.

Some people need to check with the Holy Spirit of Christ before they start to speak on His behalf concerning His sweet will and testament and power to save and heal and restore. Or it be better that they leave well enough alone. Amen.

Perfectly said. That is how I look at it too. I'm not sure if I'm always on par to that but it is my goal to be respectful to GOD. Surely GOD understands we are humans with faults and common daily mistakes, but it is geat to put all effort to be "sure" of His Words and teachings.

My personal thought on healing - I believe God can and does heal miraclously today. I also believe that modern medicine is another way the Lord heals us, it is another way God shows His grace to us. It is only by Him such knowledge and wisdom is revealed.

So why would God ever heal anyone in the first place. I think first and foremost for His own Glory, to show Himself powerful, merciful and compassionate.

John 11:4 "This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God may be glorified through it."

When Jesus' disciples asked about why a man was born blind.
John 9:3 Jesus answered, "Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him..."

The focus of ANY and ALL gifts of the Spirit are to reveal Christ and his Glory - not what He gives. I think too many times people focus on a spiritual gift rather than God who gives it. So if the focus of some gift seems to draw attention to the person "wielding it" I would be suspect of that persons motivations and the legitimacy of the situation.
(However, God uses who He wants, when He wants and how He wants)

Many of the TBN type at least as far as I have seen tend to use those things to get people to donate to their ministry with a promise of God blessing them financially. Sadly thats the motivation for giving .... to get something back.

The following scripture is my "addition" to this thread. I don't think it is just an American idea because of the scripture noted below.

PSALM 113

Im a bit freaked out right now.I was starting to read some of the stuff on the banner site and listened to a couple of the clips.The man is not from God.To be honest his voice,manner and presence is scary and demonic in nature.I had a strong urge to flee this site before my eyes,ears and spirit could be contaminated futher.The demons are not without power and chances are some healing has been done,if as mmd stated his healing has not withstood futher testing this would be in line with the devils work,give something good then snatch it right back.I wouldnt advise people to visit these sites.

There is little to no control in a hospital setting, plus too many doctors running around to check one's work. In all of this we must be careful in pronouncing our judgements, God knows the heart and only He knows. We must pray for these individuals and seek the Lord that He may give them a sincere and humble and yeilded heart, as we all need to have!

I hope I'm not being cynical when I say that I'm always suspicious of those that seem to seek the spotlight,(irregardless of miracles) because I'm distracted away from focusing on the Lords will so easily by these people.

I have never thought that Benny Hinn has got it all together! Anyone that says that Jesus would appear other than how Jesus said He would come again is a FALSE PROPHET!! Jesus warns us of people coming and saying that Jesus is here or there! MATHEW 24
I am looking for Him coming in the sky!! thats where He said we will see Him!! So look up brothers and sisters, for when you see all these things happening your redemption is near!
I found all this information about Benny Hinn on the internet a year ago.
There is something that just doesnt sit right in my spirit with that man.
To the person that said.......GOD DOESNT HEAL TODAY??? He is the same yesterday, today and forever!
Of course Jesus heals today(READ MY POST- the soul specialist, under stories) He heals in all areas of our lives.Physically, emotionally, mentally!!
And i am a testimony of that.
Unfortunaltley it is Faith healers like Benny Hinn, that make it a big show, and pull in the dollars for it!
I didnt see Jesus or the disciples being loaded with cash.When Jesus sent out the 72, they went with nothing and came back with nothing, except Joy!

now.........i see nothing wrong with questioning Benny Hinn, my other concern is that he visits Kathryn Kulmans gravesite and recieves her annointing.
Too many visions, too many false prophecies and too many false healings.
I think Benny just might be the type Jesus warned us about in the gospels.
i will not judge the man himself, but i will judge weather what he does is biblical.
Let us test every spirit! By their fruits you will reconize them... there will be many false christs, false teachers and false prophets in these last days. the bible is full of warnings about this, so whats wrong with questioning????

i have no open opinion of benny hinn.
but in my heart i feel he does the lord wrong.
but it is thru men that have tried to bring this man down, why you ask....because no one likes anyone that is sucessful.
I'll let God judge benny hinn....im not worthy to judge anyone but myself...i judge myself so others don't judge me.
Each of us will answer for our wrongs...befor christ we will bow...and only he can judge....let the dead bury the dead said jesus...(the unsaved bury the unsaved..) the dead bury the dead....sounds good to me.....the wicked dig their own graves...
