Baggage

Everyone has got a past
A cupboard full of bones
And there are many instances
That no one could condone
The baggage that you carry round
Would take a forklift truck
To lift the weight off of your back
So with it you are stuck.

Unless, of course, you find someone
Who's kind and quite forgiving
You have the choice to turn against
The life that you are living
Jesus is the only One
Who can forgive your sin
He will lift your burden off
If you would ask Him in.

Ever time I look back and think about the weight that Jesus lifted off my back I am really humbled - something that needs to always be remembered.
