Awaiting Time
A waiting time is not a wasted time before God, He said my thought towards you are not of evil but of good. God expect us to learn from whatever situation we may find our self on the way to the Promised Land in other to have more faith and believe.
When God was taking the Israelites to the promises land. Whenever the people sin directly against God or through Moses, God will punish them because he wants them to learn and to increase their faith.
Numbers 21:4-5, the people again speak against God and Moses because there was no food. (How could they have forgotten the powers of God and all His miraculous deeds)?
Vas: 6, the Lord then sent a poisonous snake among them just to punish them for their impatient and sin.
Vas: 8, but when they begged for forgiveness, He pardon them and ask Moses to replicate the snake and attached it to a pole, all who looks at it will be save.
Whenever we are going through some difficulties, let us have it in our mind that God is taking us from somewhere to a better place, and while we are passing through those situation, He want to prove to us that there is no one like Him and He want us to learn a lesson from it.
In the process we are encourage to pray for the power and the grace to press on, never to look back, and ask God to make it clear to us what He want us to learn, instead of speaking against God or indulging in things that does not glorify the name of God. Because all our self effort will do no help but only bring more punishment and delay to us.
