which is carnal, fleshly that we read about.
It is not so much he sin but the seeking to add or take from God's righteousness with our own blend... and as you point out, for our justification, redemption and salvation.
Those things belong only to the Lord and are not available for any negotiation or barter, nor concession.

The reason they are walking in willful sin is because they did not obey Jesus and repent of their sins and crucify themselves to sin.

The JEWS used to have to establish righteousness by DOING THE WORKS OF THE LAW, WHICH ARE THE PURIFICATION WORKS OF THE LAW.

There were Jews who did NOT want to stop doing those works, and they did NOT want to believe that Jesus' blood purifies them, they wanted to keep sacrificing animals and adhering to the special diet and observing special days.

Paul says if a person keeps doing those purification works and not let Jesus purify them, then they have fallen from grace.

We still have to obey Jesus, we just don't have to do those purification works anymore.

SEE THAT. Paul is speaking about CIRCUMCISION OF THE FLESH, because there were Jews who kept trying to get the Gentiles to get circumcised in the flesh and do the other purification works of the law if they want to be a child of God's.

Paul is warning the Gentiles to be careful of those Jews.

See that! Paul is speaking about THE JEWS who have a zeal for God, but they DID NOT WANT TO STOP DOING THE PURIFICATION/CEREMONIAL works. Many Jews did NOT want to believe that Jesus is the temple, the High Priest, the Circumcision, the Special Diet, the Special Days, THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD.

Philippians 3

See, Paul is explaining that no one has to do the purification/ceremonial works anymore to belong to God, because Jesus does those PURIFICATION works for us now---JUST BY OUR BELIEVING HIS BLOOD SHED ON THE CROSS DOES THAT FOR US.

Paul isn't teaching that we only have to have faith and not obey Jesus!

Paul is saying we have to believe that we have to obey Jesus and that he purifies us and not the blood of lambs anymore.

See that? We have to come to Jesus to get saved and promise TO DIE TO SINS.

We were baptized into his death is about coming to Jesus to be saved, confessing and repenting of your sins, and then DYING to the sins of the world by crucifying ourselves with him on the cross.

That is what we do when we want to be saved. No such thing as just believe and don't obey anything else.

4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.

We died with Jesus to sins and then raise up to live a new life with Jesus, for Jesus raised from the dead and ascended to heaven and intercedes for us.

Colossians 2

Romans 8
8 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:

13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

John 3
6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

20 For every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.
21 But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God.

The reason they are walking in willful sin is because they did not obey Jesus and repent of their sins and crucify themselves to sin.

The JEWS used to have to establish righteousness by DOING THE WORKS OF THE LAW, WHICH ARE THE PURIFICATION WORKS OF THE LAW.

There were Jews who did NOT want to stop doing those works, and they did NOT want to believe that Jesus' blood purifies them, they wanted to keep sacrificing animals and adhering to the special diet and observing special days.

Paul says if a person keeps doing those purification works and not let Jesus purify them, then they have fallen from grace.

We still have to obey Jesus, we just don't have to do those purification works anymore.


SEE THAT. Paul is speaking about CIRCUMCISION OF THE FLESH, because there were Jews who kept trying to get the Gentiles to get circumcised in the flesh and do the other purification works of the law if they want to be a child of God's.

Paul is warning the Gentiles to be careful of those Jews.



See that! Paul is speaking about THE JEWS who have a zeal for God, but they DID NOT WANT TO STOP DOING THE PURIFICATION/CEREMONIAL works. Many Jews did NOT want to believe that Jesus is the temple, the High Priest, the Circumcision, the Special Diet, the Special Days, THE SACRIFICIAL LAMB OF GOD.




See, Paul is explaining that no one has to do the purification/ceremonial works anymore to belong to God, because Jesus does those PURIFICATION works for us now---JUST BY OUR BELIEVING HIS BLOOD SHED ON THE CROSS DOES THAT FOR US.

Paul isn't teaching that we only have to have faith and not obey Jesus!

Paul is saying we have to believe that we have to obey Jesus and that he purifies us and not the blood of lambs anymore.


See that? We have to come to Jesus to get saved and promise TO DIE TO SINS.


We were baptized into his death is about coming to Jesus to be saved, confessing and repenting of your sins, and then DYING to the sins of the world by crucifying ourselves with him on the cross.

That is what we do when we want to be saved. No such thing as just believe and don't obey anything else.


We died with Jesus to sins and then raise up to live a new life with Jesus, for Jesus raised from the dead and ascended to heaven and intercedes for us.
