2Timothy 3:5 (NASB)
For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.

2 Corinthians 12:9 (NASB)
And He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness " Most gladly, therefore, I will rather boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may dwell in me.

2 Timothy 3 (NASB)
But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come.
For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, haters of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of
pleasure rather than lovers of God, holding to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power; Avoid such men as these.

Definition of Godliness
Godliness, as denoting character and conduct determined by the principle of love or fear of God in the heart, is the summing up of genuine religion.

Notice the bold section in the statement above.
Cessationists say that the gifts of the holy spirit died out in the early church.

Non-Cessationist say the gifts are always available.

Mmmmmmm. Someone is right and someone is wrong!

Mmmmmmm. Last days, most definitely.

Hebrews 13:8 (NASB)
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.

It is safe to assume the same for the Holy Spirit.

The bold statement above is the line in the sand, which side will you stand on?

Anyone who thinks the gifts of the Holy Spirit have died don't know their Bible and attend a "dead" church IMHO. They are operating today and we have plenty of believers all over this planet speaking in tongues and having the gifts operate in their lives as God wills.
