What is the difference between „anointing“ and „ordaining“?

In the O.T God anointed the kings—equivalent to crowning— the High Priest and the prophets—equivalent to appointing. Jesus was the anointed One. The dead bodies were anointed according the Jewish custom (I don´t know the reason). „When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial”. (Mt 26:12)

“Ordain” is an act of consecration (I think). In the following verses God anointed and ordained. There must be a different purpose between the two rites.

“Aaron’s sacred garments will belong to his descendants so that they can be anointed and ordained in them.” (Ex 29:29)

“You were anointed as a guardian cherub, for so I ordained you.” (Eze 28:14)

Exo 29:29 And the holy garments of Aaron shall be for his sons after him, to be anointed in them, and to be consecrated in them.

The Anointing is to be anointed with Oil, the consecration is set apart to God to fulfill their ministry.

Eze 28:14 Thou wast the anointed cherub that covereth: and I set thee, so that thou wast upon the holy mountain of God; thou hast walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

Satan was originally the anointed cherub that God (ordained) "set or placed him in his position.
