About eternal life and etrnal punishment, the Word of God is clear: both are true.
About the deity of Jesus Christ, the Word of God is clear: Jesus is God in the flesh.
I may be wrong about the timing of the rapture, but the word of God is clear: there will be a rapture of the ekklesia.
What about you: what if you're wrong?
Your reading of scripture and definition of words is wrong. I've told you so repeatedly, but you're too proud to see.You claim both are true, yet you continue to ignore the passages I posted. This is the logical fallacy of Cherry picking I can post many more if necessary.
Do you know what's burning in that place where the worm never dies? It's not people being tortured. It's dead bodies. All die and then comes judgment. The one that rejects God will be eternally punished, where the worm never dies, fire is never quenched, etrnal weeping and gnashing of teeth, forever and ever.
From my dear friends at The Gospel Coalition: "The punishment of the wicked dead in hell is described throughout Scripture as “eternal fire” (Matthew 25:41), “unquenchable fire” (Matthew 3:12), “shame and everlasting contempt” (Daniel 12:2), a place where “the fire is not quenched” (Mark 9:44-49), a place of “torment” and “fire” (Luke 16:23-24), “everlasting destruction” (2 Thessalonians 1:9), a place where “the smoke of torment rises forever and ever” (Revelation 14:10-11), and a “lake of burning sulfur” where the wicked are “tormented day and night forever and ever” (Revelation 20:10).Do you know what burning in that place where the worm never dies? It's not people being tortured. It's dead bodies.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.
(Isa. 66:23-24 KJV)
It's dead bodies that are burning where the worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.
No offense, but, 'because I said so' isn't an argument. I've shown from Scripture and logic that aion cannot mean eternal.Your reading of scripture and definition of words is wrong. I've told you so repeatedly, but you're too proud to see.
Have you not read? Tetelestai! The ceremony law was fulfilled by the perfect atoning sacrifice of our incarnate God Yeshua ha Messhiac. No offense, but, 'because I said so' isn't an argument. I've shown from Scripture and logic that aion cannot mean eternal.
For the wave breast and the heave shoulder have I taken of the children of Israel from off the sacrifices of their peace offerings, and have given them unto Aaron the priest and unto his sons by a statute for ever from among the children of Israel. (Lev. 7:34 KJV)
Didn't Paul say that the priesthood had changed and that the Law had changed? How then can this statute be eternal?
For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law. (Heb. 7:12 KJV)
How can statutes of the Mosaic Law be eternal when Paul said that the Law was changed.
14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (Eph. 2:1 KJV)
Paul says that Christ abolished the Law contained in ordinances, that's the Mosaic Law. How can those statutes be eternal? Paul said the Law ended.

"The punishment of the wicked in hell is as never ending as the bliss of the righteous in heaven. Jesus Himself indicates that punishment in hell is just as everlasting as life in heaven (Matthew 25:46). The wicked are forever subject to the fury and the wrath of God. Those in hell will acknowledge the perfect justice of God (Psalm 76:10). Those who are in hell will know that their punishment is just and that they alone are to blame (Deuteronomy 32:3-5). Yes, hell is real. Yes, hell is a place of torment and punishment that lasts forever and ever, with no end. Praise God that, through Jesus, we can escape this eternal fate (John 3:16, 18, 36)."
Does this mean you agree that aion doesn't mean eternal?Have you not read? Tetelestai! The ceremony law was fulfilled by the perfect atoning sacrifice of our incarnate God Yeshua ha Messhiac.

Perhaps you don't agree God is sovereign, but I do. Just as God changed HIS mind about punishing the people of Nineveh when they repented, God did away with the priestly ceremonial offerings when HE became the final blood sacrificial offering for the sins of the world. A sovereign God can do that, since all that is are HIS. Just as HE can punish the unrepentant sinner eternally in a place eternally separated from light and God, a lake of fire where the flame never goes out.Does this mean you agree that aion doesn't mean eternal?

I've answered all that you've posed. You choose to disagree with it all. All that's left now is for me and you to pray that you will come to a full knowledge of the truth. So be it.Well, this is going nowhere. If you decide you want to answer the questions let me know.
Seriously? I've asked you multiple times how something that ends can be eternal. I've asked you to address the passages I've posted. Crickets.I've answered all that you've posed. When you admit that Jesus IS God in the flesh, and when you admit that these two words: aiōni and aiōnion, while each have the same root, each mean two distinct times: the former meaning ages and the latter meaning eternal, never-ending, everlasting, then we can dialogue further. Until then, go serve the Lord. Amen.Seriously? I've asked you multiple times how something that ends can be eternal. I've asked you to address the passages I've posted. Crickets.
Still won't address them. Is Jesus God in the flesh? Yes or No.Still won't address them. K
You're in the wrong thread for that. This thread is about Annihilationism. If you want to discuss that start a new thread. However, still havent addressed those passages. Is Jesus God in the flesh? Yes or No.
You are denying the deity of Jesus Christ? You're in the wrong thread for that. This thread is about Annihilationism. If you want to discuss that start a new thread. However, still havent addressed those passages.
Dude, if you want to discuss it start a new thread. I'm derailing this thread. It's too important. You are denying the deity of Jesus Christ?
See how your unbelief has overtaken you? A simple yes or no to my question would have ended this dialogue long ago.Dude, if you want to discuss it start a new thread. I'm derailing this thread. It's too important.
