For you have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God. 1 Peter 1:23 NLT
While He was on earth, Jesus performed some amazing miracles through the power of God. He walked on water, calmed storms just by speaking to them, raised people from the dead, and healed the sick and disabled. But His greatest miracles were yet to come—and they’re still happening today.
Have you ever thought of someone being “born again” as a miracle? If not, then consider this: When someone comes to faith in Jesus, what was once dead is made alive—alive forever. That’s God miraculously doing what no man could ever do on his own. And it’s what happened to you when you turned to God and accepted His free gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Just as you could never make yourself right with God through your own works of righteousness, you can never repay Him for the miracle of eternal life. What you can do, however, is express your gratitude through speaking words of praise and gratitude and living in a way that glorifies Him.
Prayer: Father, knowing that I will live forever with You in heaven thrills me and encourages me to live an unshakable life of faith for as long as I’m here on earth. Thank You!
