Always With Us

"No good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly." Psalm 84:11

Many times we make the mistake of thinking that Christ's help is needed only for sickrooms or in times of overwhelming sorrow and suffering. This is not true. Certainly, God is with us in times of distress, and that is a comforting truth. But listen: Jesus wants to be part of every experience and every moment of our lives.

He went to the wedding at Cana as well as to the home of Mary and Martha when Lazarus died. He wept with those who wept and rejoiced with those who rejoiced. Someone has said, "There are just as many stars in the sky at noon as at midnight, although we cannot see them in the sun's glare."

I seriously doubt if we will ever understand our trials and adversities until we are safely in heaven. Then when we look back we are going to be absolutely amazed at how God took care of us and blessed us even in the storms of life. But God is with us in the good times also, and we should thank Him for them and commit them to Him just as surely as we do the hard times.

rizen1 sweet post.
One thing i try teaching others is that Christianity is a way of life. From the time we open our eyes to the time we close. Comforted in the bad times and strengthened in the good times. Everything we say and do tells what we are. I am amazed at how many people call themselves Christians and have a passing knowledge of the Gospels. Since '75 my life was geared so much differently. If i choose to go against God's will i suffer terribly both physically and emotionally. When I am true to my faith my doctor uses me as the best example of healthy client(patient). As long as we are good we are also protected and sheilded from the darkness.

Keep the Word alive now and always my sister God Bless you

So true I don't think right now after everything I have been through I will truly understand no matter how hard it has been that God has pulled me through and been helping me this post made me think of that poem footprints :D

God bless you Paganmystic.

God is carrying you brother rickeo.

Footprints in the Sand..the original.

One night I dreamed I was walking along the beach with the Lord. Many scenes from my life flashed across the sky.

In each scene I noticed footprints in the sand. Sometimes there were two sets of footprints, other times there was one only.

This bothered me because I noticed that during the low periods of my life, when I was suffering from anguish, sorrow or defeat, I could see only one set of footprints, so I said to the Lord,

“You promised me Lord,
that if I followed you, you would walk with me always. But I have noticed that during the most trying periods of my life there has only been one set of footprints in the sand. Why, when I needed you most, have you not been there for me?”

The Lord replied, “The years when you have seen only one set of footprints, my child, is when I carried you.”

fair weather believers

do you like the title. I found it to be true. Far to often when things are going good we seem to forget why things are going good. Thats another link we have to the Isrealis. God has always been disappointed with his people, as I am sure Jesus is often disappointed in us. We have to sing paise to Him when things are good and pray when its not so good. I found to remind myself sometimes is to remember my friends that are i need atleast I remember talk to him and give thanks.

Fair weather Christian....something to think about.

We need to always offer a praise of thanksgiving.
