I find the muslim assertion that Christians,Jews and Muslims all serve the same God,with the name Allah as just an arab name for God.
However, the book of exodus is very interesting on this issue:-
"...And God said to Moses, I AM WHO I AM and WHAT I AM, and I WILL BE WHAT I WILL BE; and He said, You shall say to the Israelites: I AM Has sent me to you!
God said also to Moses, This shall you say to the Israelites; The lord, the God of your fathers, of Abraham, of Isaac, and of Jacob, has sent me to you! This is My name forever, and by this name i am to be remembered to all generations ( Amplified bible-exodus 3;14-15,itallics added)
Notice what God Himself,The God of Moses says "This is my name forever..." So much for Allah! Also notice in Malachi 3:6:-
"..For i am the lord, I do not change; that is why you, O sons of Jacob, are not consumed...."Amplified translation
The Prophet Muhammad longed for the Medinan Jews to accept Him in the succesion of their prophets, something that they reasonably refused. The Surah of the Cow is a testament to the Prophets anger at their denial of him.
Christianity differs from Judaism in its assertion that Jesus is The Son of God who has come in the flesh. It claims He is the Messiah, something that God must prove to the Jewish nation in Christ's second coming.Alot of Prophecies from the new testament period clarify Christianity's assertions, but God has left the messianic prophecies to be fulfilled at His choosing.
Islam makes alot of claims, but anyone who researches into The Prophet's utterances will be puzzled by the "satanic verses", sections of the koran that assert the prophet's calling for the worship of heathen goddesses.Who were the source of the prophet's utterances? i do not know.He claims to have seen spirits tear up his insides in a vision once witnessed by his mother, as if the spirits were looking for something.Quite horrifying if you ask me.
The bible says:-
"..for satan masquerades as an angel of light..." Hmmmmm.......
If anyone has more insight on this issue, feel free to air your opinion.
