About the secret to freedom…
Psalm 25:15 My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only He will release my feet from the snare. (NIV)
Some of us are caught in many circumstances over which we have limited control. When you are trapped or tied down by the snares of life's circumstances, you need to look up. Our natural inclination in our heart and mind is to focus only upon our own problems. When we hurt, we grasp the hurting part of us to try and ease the pain. What hurts us always grabs or traps our attention. In our pain, we focus upon our hurt. When we are trapped by pain, God is the way to our freedom. When you face a grim circumstance in your life, one way or another, sooner or later, God will come to the rescue and give you freedom if you look up to Him. When you fully invest all you have and all you are in Christ, He gives you a freedom from the snares of life. To have His freedom when the snares of life entangle you requires faith. When you have real faith in God, the snares of pain in life become only an inconvenience. When you keep your eyes upon Christ, you find a freedom and joy you cannot express, no matter what might tie you down to the ground.
