"A Room with a View"

Letter from God's Mortgage Broker

Dear Christian,

We are writing to inform you that you are behind with your annual commitment.

We advised you one year ago that your request on oath for a special mansion in Heaven when you arrive here immediately after your natural death was conditional. Our conditions are very basic, and require you to 'Carry the Cross' whilst alive on Earth to justify an extra special mansion.

In the last eleven months you have remained a Christian, and a Christian who has failed to 'Carry the Cross'. For you have continued to be selfish and uncaring to those around you, especially those who have great needs.

So our warning to you is even more serious than your loss of a special mansion, because the consequences for such Earthly behaviour at a time such as this is, "There were two Christians in a field grinding corn, when one was left..."

Yours with God's blessing,

Angel XXX

So do the levels of commitment to Jesus Christ make a difference to the end result received by a Christian?

PS
And does any level of commitment open one of the Twelve Gates?

Hi JohnDM,

no its by God's grace alone.

thats why Jesus died for us

We take up our cross and may fail, but our works don't save us. As Jari said, it is faith alone that does.

Romans 3:10-12

<sup class="versenum" id="en-TNIV-27987">10</sup> As it is written: “There is no one righteous, not even one;
<sup class="versenum" id="en-TNIV-27988">11</sup> there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”<sup class="footnote" value="[<a href=&quot;#fen-TNIV-27989a&quot; title=&quot;See footnote a&quot;>a</a>]">

God's righteousness saves us, not our own.

Titus 3:5
he saved us, not because of righteous things we had done, but because of his mercy. He saved us through the washing of rebirth and renewal by the Holy Spirit

So do the levels of commitment to Jesus Christ make a difference to the end result received by a Christian?

Yes, in fact it does. The first shall be last and the last shall be first. The more selflessly one pours themselves out to others the more honor and glory God will pour out upon them in the Resurrection. Jesus will have the highest honor and glory as he was the only faithful and true Son in all things pertaining to being a son. The rest of us will be given as we deserve.

Assuming that your asking if there is a minimum level of commitment to enter in, the answer is yes. You must pick up your cross and deny yourself to obtain the completed sonship program God has initiated. You go where Jesus is if and only if you follow him. You cannot take I 55 to 495 exit and turn left to get to where he is. The only way is the path of the cross. He carried his. You carry yours.

In his holy name,

Gary
