After being born again for almost 20 years. Its over... I can't just handle the routine of being a christian. I think it got to the comfort zone when you start treating God like everybody else and then assuming that i can get away with many things. I told a lie to my boss and then fell very sick jst from the thought. If I was Saphira, i would be dead. But thank God for his grace. Now I know its bad to take the Law of God for Granted

I Thank God that he has been so gracious that he has made me know my wrong
So today and yesterday I said my vows to God again. Its a new start for me; unlearning all that I got long this christian journey and trusting God and his word entirely. I feel like am a new bride ready for a fullfilling journey of life. So I need you to pray for me that I can stay on the path of holiness everyday,

Sounds great, Imani!

I have been studying a book called The Discipline of Grace in my sunday school class. I'd like to share some with you about grace from this book.

"If we want to become holy, we must pursue not a spirit of independence, but a spirit of dependence. And one of the best means God has given us for doing this is the discipline of prayer."

John 5:30 "By myself I can do nothing." Jesus said this! If Jesus can do nothing without God's help, then surely we can't. He was completely dependent on the Father, and He freely and willingly acknowledged it. His dependence was not reluctant, it was wholehearted - enthusiastic even - because He knew that we are created to be dependent on God.

I love Psalms 119: 33-37

"Teach me, O Lord, to follow your decrees;
then I will keep them to the end.
Give me understanding, and I will keep your law
and obey it with all my heart.
Direct me in the path of your commands,
for there I find delight.
Turn my heart toward your statutes
and not toward selfish gain.
Turn my eyes away from worthless things;
presearve my life accoring to your word."

Teach me, give me understanding, direct me, turn my heart, turn my eyes away and presearve my life. This sounds like a prayer we need to pray each day to stay on the path to holiness.

I'm glad you found your way back!

God bless you Imani. He instructs you and disciplines you because you are His beloved child. How precious you are to Him!

I like it that you spoke up about your new resolve in asking Him to empower you to start over. You are putting it out into the open with the support of brothers and sisters who struggle in their walk too.

God loves you and so do I.

As 2nd Chapter of Acts sings, I pray that you will "stay in the main stream of the Holy Spirit's follow ... in the center wherever it may go."

Praise God!!!
Praise Him because instead of giving up on Him, He has given you the stregth to go further!!!!
God will show you all things, and praise Him that you now are seeing so much more!!!

Freind, Do what it is that God puts into your heart to do!!!! Work the works he places in your heart!!! And may your heart then be fillled with true happiness and joy my freind!!!!!

Blessed

Hi Imani

At first I did not know what to reply to you as I was reading your request, but in a split second the Lord gave me this scripture and I feel that it's for you:

Matthew 5:8
"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God"

Hey friends, thanks for praying with me. Trust me the walk is longer and quite hard, but if its the only walk we can write home about, we have to walk it. Forgeting to read the word, dozing off while praying, forgetting promises.... but when I fall, I have to get up!

Everyday its Grace that keeps us going. We wake up and the miracle of breath is with us...

...Forgeting to read the word, dozing off while praying, forgetting promises...

Ask God to help you make reading the Bible into a good habit.

Reminder: Prayer is simply communication with your best friend, God.

I once read that this person would setup 2 chairs.
He'd sit in one & talk to God looking at the other, like God was sitting right there.

Another person would pray aloud to God while he was driving, as if God was in the car.

However you do it, you don't have to close your eyes while you are praying.

Pray with me that God will help you not make any promises you can't keep & that He will help you keep the ones you do make.
