Proverbs 4:26) Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.

Today I wanted to focus on the word “ponder”. In root meaning for this word is To make level, even, or to prepare the way. In Christ Jesus, we are liberated from our sins, but life does continue on after the moment we accept Christ. In Psalm 90:12, we read “teach us how to number our days” and in Ephesians 5:16 to be “redeeming the time”. Every day, week, month, and year are significant. With the length of this life being compared to a vapor, as the span of grass, and a shadow, how do we plan our time? Are we aiming for worthwhile goals? What quality activities do we seek to engage in on a daily basis? What is our life amounting to now and for the future? Every step is important in this journey with Christ. Let us prayerfully consider what we should pursue in this life and what we should let go off; what is needful and what is wasteful; and what direction we are running in. For truly, everyone runs the course of this life, but how many strive for quality.
Planning is a crucial contributor to establishing each area of life. For example, suppose that you wanted to get out of debt at a faster rate. The wise thing to do would be to evaluate your circumstances. How much is your income? What are the monthly living expenses? Are all expenses necessary? (i.e./like the cup of mourning star bucks coffee) What are some proven methods that are effective in lowing monthly expenses? These type of questions paint a crystal clear picture of our current standings and it is with a clear understanding of our circumstances, that a fitting solution can be developed.
Being inquisitive is advantageous for any type of goal. Do we deliberately schedule time to prayer, reading the word, and minister onto others? Do we take time to ask God about what spiritual gifts we have and how he wants us to use them for his glory? Fruitful lives don’t happen by accident, but rather by intention.
