A little while back during the presidental debates, I woke up in the middle of the night and something told me to turn the TV on. When I did it was on the 700 Club and they were talking about a Prop 714 in North Carolina, they said a few states were involved and they were trying to get more, I was sad to see it never made it to my state. I wasn't able to catch much of it, just enough to know that 714 stood for 2 Chronicles 7:14, so I looked it up. That verse REALLY made me wonder. Hearing all the negative talk and discouragement about the election it seemed like no matter who won people were going to be upset. And I understand that. Our country IS in a mess right now. The blacks didnt want the white man to win, the whites didnt want the black man to win. To me our focus is so off track no wonder our country and our society is so screwed up right now. The only thing that mattered to me was who was going to make a difference? Maybe if we all redirected our focus on the ONLY source in the world that is actually capable of making any difference, what kind of difference would we see? Seriously, we cant blame or expect one or any man to fix all our worldly problems, I mean come on... how many of us are capable of fixing whats wrong in our own homes?
My point... I'm new in my relationship with the Lord, this verse touched me.. its stuck with me, and something told me this is where I need to start. BUT I want to make sure I have all my information correct for the negative nellys. I looked up some stuff on the internet but I thought this would be a good place to get positive, honest information.
God Bless you all!
