These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9 ESV
Noah was righteous, blameless man who walked with God. He was a difference maker whose story began when God gave him a job and he agreed to do it. A simple yes from Noah ultimately led to the saving of all future generations. The boat this man built saved eight people who would be the new beginning for all mankind. You’re probably glad Noah thought obedience was a good choice.
Disobedience comes with a cost. Sometimes when you don’t follow the rules, it can lead to job loss, the absence of freedom, and strained relationships. That cost is the temporal consequence of sin.
Think about the choices you must make. The more critical thinking you do, the less likely you are to make a bad choice. You tend to make quick and bad choices when you’re not informed or aware enough to make your best decision. Actions taken without proper consideration often lead to the need for forgiveness.
Noah provides an exceptional example of someone who loved God enough not to turn Him down. You can follow that example. You can be that example.
Prayer: I want to use my entire being to enhance the value of obedience, God. Help me believe, think, and act in a way that allows my life to show that following You really does bring change to life.
