[h=1]2 Peter 3:8-9King James Version (KJV)[/h]8 But, beloved, be not ignorant ofthis one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and athousand years as one day.

The Lord is not slack concerninghis promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, notwilling that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
New European Version
8 But beloved,do not forget this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand yearsand a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning hispromise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward you, not wishingthat any should perish but that all should came to repentance.

8 This is symbolic shows God’s patience and shows that timemeans very little to the Lord. It may also lead one to believe that time may bemeasured different in heaven, heaven has no time though but God first made timewhen He ended the first day, He knows how long a day is but to Him it isn’t asimportant as the whole picture, all time. It was once sad that a man went toheaven and asked Jesus about eternity and they looked at the future and thencould not see an end it just went on they became scared until they realizedJesus was with them, and then they looked backwards and saw no beginning. Godis eternal.

9 God gave Noah 150 years to build the ark before the flood, the ark would not have taken this to build but it shows God mercy, that He waswilling to give them every chance before the people died in the judgment of theflood. God wants all to come to Him but many will reject the call.
