This refers to Christ’s coming. Many saying that His coming to two parts because He comes as a thief but is seen by all my <nobr>view</nobr> that I can see a thief in my house as I come home but would never expect to be robbed. No one will be expecting Jesus to return when He does. This great noise may refer to the trumpet being blown to announce the King, Jesus coming. This verse does not prove global warning but says that as Jesus returns there will be a heat; this could be from the glory His has. The earth will be burned up being destroyed.

Not being perfected yet, we just don't know perfectly and subject to error. Your subject is, correctly or incorrectly answered in the views of the Premilleannialist, Mid and Post Milleanialists. I prefer Pre-Tibulation and this is only what I think:

• Jesus will first come invisibly, unknown to men in general (the PAROUSIA), raise the righteous dead, and take them from the earth for a 7-year period of "rapture." During this time will be great suffering called the "tribulation" for the wicked people who were left on earth.
• At the end of these 7 years, the forces of evil will gather to fight against Jesus, who will visibly return (EPIPHANEIA) to defeat them at the battle of Armageddon.
• Jesus will then establish an earthly, civil kingdom over which He will reign as King from Jerusalem for one thousand years (the millennium).
• At the end of 1000 years, the wicked dead will be raised, then all men will be judged and receive their eternal rewards.
• Eventually after all wicked have been destroyed, including Satin, for all eternity, all that remains is God's church. The Church will comprise all believers changed forever into spritual beings with their heavenly resurrected bodies just like Jesus.
• At some point, heaven and earth will be destroyed as we now know them and recreated to better suit our heavenly bodies for eternity.

One caveat that I believe is true. All the above events are to happen in the physical world, a physical time and space.
How this all occurs in conjunction with the spiritual world is as hard to explain as the immaculate conception or how Jesus was very Man and very God at the same time.
So, saying that, when we die know, we are instanly with Jesus and the spiritual realm. In the spiritual realm, there is no up or no down. In the spirtual realm where God exists, there is no space and time as we know it. We will also be at the begining and the end at the same time just like Jesus. Once there, all the above events will have already happened.

It means what it says (per the Greek). Hebrews 12 has another version of it for the last day of this present world when our Lord Jesus returns...

Hebrews 12
25 See that ye refuse not Him That speaketh. For if they escaped not who refused Him that spake on earth, much more shall not we escape, if we turn away from Him that speaketh from heaven:

26 Whose voice then shook the earth: but now He hath promised, saying, "Yet once more I shake not the earth only, but also heaven."

27 And this word, "Yet once more", signifieth the removing of those things that are shaken, as of things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may remain.

28 Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:
29 For our God is a consuming fire.

The meaning is not that this earth is literally destroyed into some vapour in space, but that's its surface is wiped clean. That's what God's consuming fire will do on that last day of this world. The word "elements" per the Greek of 2 Peter 3:10 does not mean material earth matter. The word means an orderly arrangement per the Strong's definition. And per the examples Apostle Peter was giving in that 2 Pet.3 chapter about previous world-earth ages, that also ensures this interpretation of God's cleansing man's works off the surface of this earth.
