[h=3]2 Peter 1:2-4[/h]King James Version (KJV)
2 Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord,
3 According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
New European Version
2Grace to you and peace be multiplied in the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.
3 Seeing that His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the precise and correct knowledge of Him that called us by His own glory and virtue. 4 Whereby He has granted to us His precious and exceedingly great promises, that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in that world by lust.

2 Grace and peace truly only come from Jesus Christ. We cancome in peace but not give peace. We also can be gracious but not truly givethe grace they need. The knowledge here is talking about faith something thateveryone does not have.

3 By His power we can, He gives us the strength to do whatwe can not to show us His power and to show others His power by us. We are asbelievers called to His presence or glory. He will can His values and start tolose ours, gain His virtues and character.

4 God had made promises; He keeps them and will keep them. The promise we as believers most look forward to no is being in His glory, which will come but until then He has a plan for us here on earth to change theworld by Him and not to be a part of the world.
