[h=3]1 Peter 4:17-19[/h]King James Version (KJV)
17 For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear?
19 Wherefore let them that suffer according to the will of God commit the keeping of their souls to him in well doing, as unto a faithful Creator.
EasyEnglish Bible Translation
v17 The time has come that God should begin to decide about people. He will decide what should happen to them. And he will decide first about the people who belong to him. God will decide even about us, who are his own people. Then he will decide about the people who do not obey his good news. So, very bad things must happen to those people in the end. v18 The Bible says:
‘Even good people have many difficulties
before God finishes saving them.
So, think about the bad people who do not obey God.
Very bad things must happen to those people!’
[Proverbs 11:31]
v19 So then, people may cause you trouble and pain because God chooses that. But you should continue to believe God, who made you. God always does what he has promised. So, continue to believe that he will be good to you. And continue to do what is good.

17 Judgment is not easy but even the church is not perfectand needs Godly correction which comes sometimes by those speaking the truth ofthe word. Judgment for the church is chastisement so we may be able to serveHim more effectively. Those that have faith do not choose to live by theirfaith will be forgiven for what they do but may face troubles from God to leadthem back to Him. We should not want to displease God, even though we will.

18 There are many people who believed they are saved but areservants to sin and know of Christ but yet do not have Him. Sinners will facejudgment and without Christ will face hell.

19 We even though we may suffer should trust Him not so wemay avoid hell; this will happen but because serving Him is what He deserves. We should see that there is nothing better to follow after than Him; He aloneis just, we can only be just by Him. We should trust the Lord with our souls,He would do better with mine than I could myself because by myself I would goto hell and displease the one who created me but thru Jesus I can please myLord.
