[h=3]1 Peter 4:14-16[/h]King James Version (KJV)
14 If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified.
15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men's matters.
16 Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.
EasyEnglish Bible Translation
v14 People may say bad things about you because you are Christ’s. But God will be good to you when that happens. It means that God’s Spirit is with you. God’s Spirit, who is so great and powerful, remains upon you.
v15 But if you do wrong things, then people ought to *punish you. They ought to cause you trouble and pain. So, be careful that none of you receives trouble and pain because of wrong things. You must not kill anyone. You must not rob anyone. You must not want to know more than you should know about other people’s lives. None of you should ever have to receive trouble and pain because you have done those things. v16 But if you have trouble and pain because you are a Christian, do not be ashamed. Instead, thank God that people call you by Christ’s name.

14 We will be hated for following the truth and this hatredmay manifest physically. Christ was hated by people and no one could be equalwith Him. We should count our persecutions as a blessing because we will beblessed by Him for them. God will strength us during these time so we may show Himmore while those of the world will be judged later for their actions if they onot come to Jesus. The worst thing people could do to us is send us home early, where our Lord will be.

15 We should not live as the world and even thoughChristianity could become illegal we should not act as if it is wrong or changeour ways for changing laws. If Christianity were illegal, I would being brokenthe law of man but keep living up to God’s law and where I fall short gracewill lift back up.

16 Our sufferings as Christians are a part of our story ofwhere Christ has brought us and how He can bring us though things, it shows Heis more powerful than the world. We should let this story glorify Him and notglorify ourselves. We will one day receive glory but not here.
