Wherefore laying aside all malice, and all guile, and hypocrisies, and envies, and all evil speakings,
2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby:
3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

2 1-3 So clean house! Make a clean sweep of malice and pretense, envy and hurtful talk. You’ve had a taste of God. Now, like infants at the breast, drink deep of God’s pure kindness. Then you’ll grow up mature and whole in God.

1 We as believers are to stand apart for the world and theirso called values. Wickedness is not determined by man but by God. The world isfull of pretenders or hypocrites. The world will tell you or say one thing anddo another and, they will damage others to make themselves look better. Thechurch is to be different; it is light the church and darkness the world. Theworld will want to keep getting things and power but, the church is not to envybut focus on serving the Lord by giving of ourselves. We as believers shouldsee that this world has nothing for us but, Christ is our all.

2 We as believers are to grow through hearing and readingand following the word and through fellowship with stronger or more developedbelievers. We as believers are not on our own but a group of believers thechurch grows as the believers of Christ grow. We are to help younger believersto grow by advising them and by encouraging them to stay true to what Jesuswants for them.

3 We as believers now what the world can only hear from usand this is Jesus, His love, His mercy and the fellowship.
