1 Peter 1:11-12
King James Version (KJV)
11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.
12 Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into.
1 Peter 1:11-12
The Message (MSG)
10-12 The prophets who told us this was coming asked a lot of questions about this gift of life God was preparing. The Messiah’s Spirit let them in on some of it—that the Messiah would experience suffering, followed by glory. They clamored to know who and when. All they were told was that they were serving you, you who by orders from heaven have now heard for yourselves—through the Holy Spirit—the Message of those prophecies fulfilled. Do you realize how fortunate you are? Angels would have given anything to be in on this!

11 Christ suffering were pretold and fulfilled. Hissufferings showed His love to us. When He died he thought of us coming to Himand accepting Him as Lord and wanting to serve Him but, if He did not die forus this would be impossible. Christ suffered on earth to spare us from thesufferings from hell. The prophets also told about the life and resurrection ofChrist and some even mention the blessing to come.
12 The prophets who were told did not see Christ come as wetoday they believed thru not seeing but by faith. The word of God is tominister to us guide us and encourage and sometimes convict us but always leadsus to Jesus and His will. The gospel is what we preach today it is somethingthe prophets dreamed about, it is what they were promised and it is fulfilledin Jesus our Savior. The Spirit was sent to help and lead us to spread thegospel and follow His will. Having the Spirit allows us to have a part of Godleading us into God’s direction for us.
