Even though Jesus's work is finished, ours is not. We still have to be obedient.

A " Born Again Christian " doesn't .desire to be disobedient and strives to do good..what only God is by the way! But, he also knows that Christ did do a finished work; you won't see him dieing again for sins...Romans 6:10

So in essence you have my answer. I'm I , a Christian? The Answer is No!

And according to the "Bible" I read. Jesus has been dead for almost 30 years before there was any type of "New Testament" writings. And when He was Teaching those in the "New Testament" they where not saved either, neither was They wash in His blood. Not until He was "dead" buried in the grave and stay dead for 3 days and then rose, and walked the earth for about 40 days before He Ascended into Heaven and seated at the right hand of His Father. And His disciples still had not been "born of GOD", they still had not received the Indwelling "Holy Ghost". Until the Day of Pentecost.

So how did those people you are referring to, become clean and "Sanctified" without the Indwelling "Spirit" and the "Sanctifying" work of "The Hloy Ghost" of GOD, that will be enabling them to Become; the "sons of GOD", that Is "Born of HIS Spirit.

Take note: Here, I am relating to the Adopted, "Sons of The Living GOD" who has a full shared Inheritance with "The Only Begotten SON of The LORD AlMIGHTY GOD". Who in No way whatsoever, will every relate to HIS Children as "DOGS" or PIGS"! These are HIS Children I am relating too, And not by their own choice but "Adopted" and "Birth" not according to themselves or their own will, but according to GOD's will before any created thing has even existed.

God Never refers to His Children as "Dogs, Pigs, demons. or devils nor goats, snakes, vipers, A Dog is a dog, whether he eats Vomit of not, a sow is a pig whether she wallows in the mere or not, she still a pig.

Looking up this proverb in the book, 'Figures of Speech used in the Bible', I found some interesting notes concerning it.

* The first note was in a consideration of 1 Peter 2:25, 'Ye were as sheep going astray: but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.'. It said,:-

'Here we have a simile, which stands in marked contrast to the proverb in 2 Peter 2:22, as to the 'sow'. Both the stray sheep and the washed sow 'return'. But the one returns to the shepherd, and the other to the mire. We may note also that the verb 'returned' as used of the 'sheep' is the passive form; while, as used of the 'sow,' it is the active form. Showing that the 'sheep' is made to return by a constraining power, while the 'sow' returns of its own act and free-will.'

* Then in relation to 2 Peter 2:22 (quoted above) it said:-

'When we contrast this with 1 Peter 2:25, we see how forcible is the difference between the 'saved sinner' and the 'reformed character'. The saint may go astray, and the ungodly may reform; but they both turn again, the one to his Shepherd, and the other to his mire! There is all the difference in the world between a dirty sheep and a washed sow! 'It is not that which goeth into the mouth that defileth the man, but that which cometh out of the heart' (Matt 15: 17-20).'

The mouth, dish, or sepulchre, may be cleansed or whitened without, but within it is all uncleanness (Matthew 23:25-28)

'Man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart' (1 Sam. 16:7).

Truly 'the Lord seeth not as man seeth,'

How many hirelings are there who are engaged in merely washing sows and amusing goats, instead of seeking out and feeding Christ's harassed and scattered and famishing sheep, who are at their wits' end to know where to find a little green grass, or fresh water, which has not been trodden down with the feet of the goats, or defined with the 'vomit' of the dogs?

1st. just because you can pronounce a word, does not mean you understand "'etymology", Especially a word that never came out of the mouth of GOD! And is only mention in the New Testament 3 times period. The word did not even come to be, until Jesus was dead and buried three days and walked the earth 40 days and then ascended into Heaven and then set down on The Throne beside His Father, then after about 30 more years after that, the Name 'Christian," still Did not exists. Not until a group "Devil" worshipping Pagan, called the followers of "Christ" a bunch of lying, Atheist cannibals, incest, blood drinking, practicing, just like their leader, the one called "Jesus of Nazareth", [and everyone knew nothing came good out of "Nazareth"] So they begin calling them, "christians" in "Antioch", And the term was "coined' to express nothing good.

But since you are a christian yourself, you should know these things. This is grade school materials. Before "Christianity 101".

There is a lot more i can say concerning this matter and not by feeding on 'regurgitation" of others, but deep personal "research" in "Doctorate form" at maybe over a good 100 hours or better of raw research. Like a serious student is suppose to engage, like all "Biblical words" and terminology.

A few passages of Scripture I took very seriously in 1977, until this very day by the grace of GOD.

"Of these things put them in remembrance, charging them in the sight of the Lord, that they strive not about words, to no profit, to the subverting of them that hear. May i say this; For those who are familiar with "evangelistic" works, and who have wrote and given 100's messages, by the guidance of the "Holy Ghost" His work in the Presentation that you have learn by countless of years of speaking to different groups not knowing who GOD's Target is, But leaning not unto one's own understand, but being in a state of Obedience and kicking not against the pricks! GOD always, Hit His mark concerning HIs Target. So in essence, I gave the "message" as GOD gave it to me! If you don't like it , Tell Him and not me! There are meaning of "Messages, lectures. and Sermons, throughout the years, I didn't want to give! I have cried before and cried after, And I have been "Threaten, in more ways than one for messages i have given, By people i don't even know, and by confessiion out of their own mouths, what they was going to do to me! And have know nothing about their business and who they sleep with! And they are going to kill , shoot me in the dark! I would even know some of these people! Lie on me, slander me. For Proclaiming the Truth!

These call themselves, Christians and I believe them too! I never worry about non-christians, i don't let them get to close to me!

Those other folks, they gossip, tell lies, sow discord, slandering, spread rumors. And sometimes you don't even know these people, but only see them from a distance once a week! LOL! I cannot wait, when God Pulls the Covers off what The Naked Human has become after that Fall in The Garden Eden. Then we are going to know why, People are going to HELL and the Lake of Fire and Brimstone".
